“empressive and extremely varm”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2014

Very nice grounds, garden and area.
Just too hot to walk around there.
My family and i went there in feb. and the temperature rounded 35 degrees, just sweating, constantly thirsty and not even a small cafe, kiosk or anything like that in sight, it was a tough business.
Nothing wrong with the park, just remember to bring at least 1 liter water pr. pers. pr. hour.
decorations and fountains, just amazing. You can find a big playground here, but too hot/varm to play there.
Not many people walk in the park, a pity, but now i know why.
Make some cafes there and people would come running.

“Beautiful, peaceful, wonderful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 29, 2014

Surprisingly, the Lake Gardens don't get as many tourists as I would have thought... we have visited this area for more than 14 years, and it has remained tranquil and sweet... we used to take our Golden retriever Peaches for walks, and never did we come across anyone objecting... the Lake Gardens includes the Islamic Arts Museum, the Bird Park, the Orchids Park, the Butterfly Park and some more... for us, its one of the main things that make Kuala Lumpur such a lovely place to live and visit

“Clean and peaceful but could be a bit scary as not security around”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 28, 2014

We went there after visiting the surrounding area and it was just so serene and relaxing. There is even a lake (not sure if it is man-made) in the center. We would have stayed long but there was nobody else there aside from some construction workers so it could quite make you feel vulnerable..Hope they could improve on this by placing roving security guards..

“It's a nice park...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 28, 2014

Quiet, tidy and a nice lake but nothing to really write home about. Can be tricky to navigate to from a train stain, I'd recommend walking from KLSentral, not Kuala Lumpur station, otherwise you'll just walk along a lot of roads within the park before you make it to the lake gardens. It's nice quiet get away from the city, but if your stay in KL is short I'd spend the hours elsewhere.

“Pleasant walking in the crowded city”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2014

These gardens are immaculate. It's the part of KL that is trying to look like Singapore!

We stopped for a small picnic and it was very pleasant sitting in the shade under the trees. Sadly it is very hard to gain access to the park on foot - you really need to go by car (like most places in KL)

We did manage to walk from the park to KL Sentral station but it was death defying to cross some of the big roads.
