This hotel is very new as of Jan 2014. The lobby is very large and shiny, and all the staff are extremely friendly and attentive, even to us non-business young folk.
The price for this hotel is incredible for what you get (under $100 a night). From business people to backpackers just wanting to spend a night out of a hostel, there really is no reason for you not to stay here. It is right next to the Central train station, and about a 5-10 min walk to the Central monorail station.
The rooms are pretty cool, a good size and we had a nice view from the 11th floor. The bathroom was excellent and a funky design. Good water pressure and temperature. You get free toiletries too - toothbrush etc.
The only issue we had with our room (1104) was because it was so new, no one had used the water in the basin for a while and it initially came out brown. After about a minute is had sorted itself out though. Also the plug in the basin wouldn't drain very well at all which was annoying.
The pool deck at the top is very cool. The water is quite cold though, a little too cold for january. We only stayed in for a couple of minutes. The sunbeds are nice up the top, but if it was very busy there probably wouldn't be enough for everyone. Also the only less-than-good service of the whole hotel was up on the roof, the table service people just seemed less professional. Also you pay top-of-the-hotel prices up there.
Breakfast is amazing. Not only the food and beverage on offer, but the dining area too is very cool, and the staff again are great. The Orange Juice machine is terrible though, don't bother trying to squeeze your own.
There is always a different free little drink in the lobby for you to try as you pass through too. A nice touch. Good wifi everywhere too.
While the hotel is not directly near any restaurants, it is a 10min walk from Little India, which is full of restaurants and clothes shops. Or hop on a train and go anywhere you like.
If the prices stay good, stay here for a nice hotel experience.
