“Nice little backpackers with a friendly vibe”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 29, 2012

The hostel itself is in Chinatown, which is fairly centrally located - it's really close to the main transport hub, so pretty easy to get to the airport(s) and trains. It's also not too far to KLCC (twin towers etc).
Rooms are arranged along a long corridor on both the ground and first floors. Dorms have solid metal security lockers, and plenty of charging points. The place seems pretty secure - there's a code lock on the front door, and all of the individual dorms/rooms lock as well.
The bathrooms are at one end of the corridor. This can make for a long walk if you're right at the other end! Bathrooms themselves are clean, but are the cubicle shower/toilet combo type, so everything tends to get a bit wet. It's a good idea to wear flip flops to the bathroom if you have them!
Downstairs is a small seating area, plus a breakfast bar and TV viewing area. It's quite a nice place to chill out an watch a movie with a few others (the hostel has plenty of its own movies)
Breakfast of bread, jam and coffee is provided. It's adequate, but nothing special.
The hostel is able to book the local attractions for you, at a better rate than the "walk up" price, so it's worth booking with them if you want to go.
There is a fast laundry service as well.
Wifi is available throughout the building, with a router on both floors (though the upstairs one wasn't working when we were there)

We had a great stay at Raizzy's, it was relaxed yet comfortable, and the staff was excellent! The rooms were clean, we stayed in the dorm and in the private, both were clean, had air conditioning, with comfortable beds. Bathrooms had consistent warm water, and were cleaned daily which was very pleasant.

The one point with which we had a major issue, which we recommend future visitors to take into mind is the laundry service. This was not only expensive but poorly carried out. Our cloths were almost as dirty when we got them back as when we handed them in. Simple sand or dirt will still be on the cloths after the wash.

Stay at his guesthouse, you won't regret it as the atmosphere is excellent the staff is excellent, and the accommodation is excellent. Even despite the poor laundry service I would not hesitate in staying here again.

I stayed here in November 2012 for two nights. The rooms were very clean and as expected for a budget stay. A/C was great. The communal area is really cosy and homely. Wifi works well and there are also communal computers. The staff are very very friendly and helpful, including taking us out in their own time to help us find some places. However, had to pay for extra pillow, blanket, towel, etc. Also, the communal bathroom sink is also the dishwashing sink. But all in all I had a great stay and would recommend Raizzy's highly to others.

The staff is nice. The room is the size of a double bed. The bathroom is shared and the cleanliness is not spotless. The room has A/C but would need to be aired as it does not smell very fresh in there. The window is onto a corridor and the rooms are not very soundproof.
The breakfast is simply a joke: some toasts and chemical jams, tea or coffee if you can find them.
Location is ok, one station away from KL sentral and on the line to KLCC (Petronas towers)
Would try another one if I have the chance

Location great, very close to the bus station and the free bus! Also walking distance to the tram and railway station. It's in china town so plenty of food outlets close.

Hostel itself provides free tea and coffee all day, filtered water. Breakfast was toast, butter and jam. Common area had a tv where you could watch movies. Wifi was fast and worked on both levels.

The only downside was the size of the room. We had a twin room which was bunk beds, the room was tiny and the walls are thin making it difficult to sleep at night due to noise. There were plenty of showers and toilets and this were very clean.

Staff very helpful, gave us a map and explained the best way to get to places etc... Very good stay.

Excellent value for Money. Great place to stay in a central location close to the LRT & Kommuter station plus the bus station. I have stayed here a few times now as can highly recommend. There is free wifi, tea, coffee and water 24/7. Some of the dorm rooms are a little small but wasn't an issue for me. The staff are superb, really friendly and informative.

Hi Guys,

When I booked my reservation for the first time in Raizzy's I never thought that I will get so much beautiful memories by staying in this guest house. The staff at the reception especially Maher "The Syrian Guy", Alley and Millad are so nice and they greet everyone so nicely, and after staying here for a month I got so many nice friends including staff. The staff helps the guests in all respects when they need some information about the locations in Malaysia. The place is very clean, comfortable, and it has value for price. Except the Hallway is very noisy when it rains, rest everything is perfect. I went back to India after a month trip but when I came back for some work and I could not think any other better place other than Raizzy's..

In short I would say that "RAIZZY'S ROCKS !!!! "

HAVE A PLEASANT STAY THERE.
