The purpose of our trip to Malaysia was to watch the F1 which see the main sights if KL, so our stay was for just 5 nights.

We arrived on the Wednesday morning and were able to check in before the check time, hotel staff were friendly at all times.

Lifts were confusing at times, as depending upon which lift you use will depend upon which floors you can get to.

Our hotel room was clean and spacious, given the price per night we paid it was extremely good value. Free wifi was available. The view from our hotel from the 25th floor looked out towards the KL tower, although we did have a building site right in front of us. We ordered room service one evening and it was delivered in good time and was pretty good and once again at a reasonable price.

The hotel is situated in the heart of Golden Triangle, so the KL Tower, Suria Shopping Mall, Petronas towers and night life are all within a 10 minute walk, further shopping malls, KL market and the night market in Bukit Bintang are a 15-20min walk from the hotel. Getting to the the Batu Caves is a 20-25 min taxi journey.

We used taxis throughout our time, bare in mind you will be able to find cheaper taxis away from the hotel and all taxi drivers will be happy to haggle prices. It's between 45 mins to an hour depending upon traffic and the route taken by the taxi driver to the Sepang race track and to KL International Airport. Prices range from 100 ringgit to 150 ringgit.

Overall the hotel was very pleasant and ideal for the short stay we had.

The hotel is located within walking distance to KLCC and also the nightspot area. The room is clean and spacious with a sofa and a kitchen area. It has a huge bathroom too, with both the shower area and a bathtub. There is free wifi access in the room and most parts of the hotel. There is a roof top bar situated at the 34th storey of the hotel and it offers a lovely view of the city. Right in the centre of the rooftop bar is the swimming pool. I just love the bar/pool concept where I can enjoy a glass of cocktail after a swim. The breakfast at the hotel is not fantastic but not bad either even though variety of food can be further improved. The staff of the hotel are generally very friendly and helpful. Overall, it has been a pleasant and enjoyable stay and I don't mind staying in this hotel for my future travels to KL.

A great location and extra large rooms are the plusses of this hotel. Small changes could transform it into a very good place: lighting in the rooms is poor and should be improved, cleaning of rooms and bathrooms could be done more thoroughly, breakfast is basic, and a coat of paint would go a long way improving the overall impression one has from the Pacific Regency. We were not welcome, early one evening, at La Luna, the hotel roof bar. The three of us were denied any table other than a small one where sitting cross legged would have been the only option (I am 64 y.o.!). Two tables were reserved by other customers, the rest (with 6 or more seats) were empty but kept for larger groups. We went to the Shangri-La (next door) instead, a good decision as it turned out.

Room Tip: If you don't smoke, ensure the room you are given does not smell cigarette. You may wish to book...

Well located opposite the viewing tower. Lovely large room and huge bed. Extremely friendly staff, nothing too much trouble. Fantastic views of the City at night from the Lunar Bar, (make sure men take long trousers as shorts are not allowed in the evening!).

The hotel is located opposite the KL tower and only about 15 minutes walk to the iconic twin tower. The room is huge and is equipped with a kitchenette . The only down side is that we were told to put a 300 Malaysian ringgit as deposits without prior notice. The hotel lobby is small for a 5 stars hotel and they only have 2 check in/out counter, so prepare to wait if there is a large crowd.

The hotel is situated on the top ten floors of an office building just next to Menara KL Tower. So the location is good.

But the suites/rooms are very tired, especially the kitchens, that should have been renovated years ago. Rooms are very spacious and kept in a light brown 70'es hessian wallpaper mode. So kind of sad, but still sort of ok, just. But DO NOT expect a fivestar product. No way! The rating is ridiculous!

The hotel seems to be an old expat hangout, hence rooms are big and with full kitchens. But most likely many have moved on to more modern hotels around KL.

The pool and pool bar is located on top of the building. Great views from here, if you can see through the few remaining long stay expats with their......local ......friends.

The reception area is very small and feels jammed at all times. Service is somewhat confused and seems to lack management.

We did not vsit the restaurant.

Al lin all, ok - if you didn't pay too much, but KL has got loads of better options equally priced.
