“Close to Transport and near KLCC”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

We stayed here while on holidays in Kuala Lumpur. The hotel is quite convenient in that it is close to the public transport, both the Monorail which is right next door and the LRT which is about 5 minutes walk.
The monorail will take you directly to the main shopping malls in Bukit Bintang area. The hotel is also close to KLCC, which is about 15 minutes walk.
The rooms are spacious and the beds fairly comfortable. Things I like about the hotel:
- pool is large and has pool bar.
- spacious rooms
- convenient location
- free parking for guest
- free wifi (not sure if this applies to everyone but we did get it)
- comfortable beds and pillows

Some things which can be improved on:
I think the rooms need a bit of refreshing to give it a more modern feel.
The doorman redirected us to the convention center entrance when we tried to check in, only to find ourselves back at where we were before.
The toilet flush takes a bit of getting used to, when you flush the water rises up to nearly the brim of the toilet bowl.
Overall a pleasant stay and not much complaints.

A good value for money hotel with great location and 3 min walk from twin tower.
We got upgrade to studio room a we asked for 10th or, higher floors.Room was comfortable, clean ,Spacious and with lovely view of Petronas twin tower.
Food is very not very costly here and breakfast is just awesome.
If you are in KL to see the attraction, then this is right place for you.Monorail station, Bukit Bintang,Berjaya Times square and most of the shopping places are nearby

We stayed for 4 nights in the Renaissance in February, we were very lucky to be upgraded to the Lifestyle suites on the 23rd floor and we had view overlooking the Petrona towers. The room was very luxurious and had a shower with a screen that came up so you could see the towers from the bathroom. The bed was king size and very comfortable. The service was excellent and the staff was very helpful and polite. The hotel has 2 morning breakfast buffets both high quality with a variety of foods. We also had dinner to the hotel likewise the food was very tasty. The hotel is located in the centre of KL, on the other side of the road is the hop on hop off bus stop and the tourism office .I would definitely recommend this hotel.

We were here over NYE and were upgraded to a business room which happened to over look the Petronas Towers which let me say was an amazing experience for NYE we did not need to leave our room for the fireworks were right there!! That was the advantage of being upgraded. This was my second hotel stay on this particular trip in Asia where I was given an "upgrade" to the business floor but none of the concierge services were available to us. Just the room upgrade. Like I said in this case it worked out but overall this seems like a weird practice. It is like being upgraded to first class on a plane and not being provided drinks or food. How much does a few nibbles of food and drink actually cost? Anyway.. overall a good location, convenient to the monorail station, easy walk to the Petronas Towers and if you happen to live in from other parts of Asia where there are no Wendy's the mall there has one and it is a little piece of heaven like at home!

This hotel was quite nice- not a 5* as the rooms were quite old but we were on the east wing which I think is the older side. The west Wing I think has newer rooms.
The service was amazing though. The rest of the hotel is so nice. The pool is fabulous- not for sun though. If you want a sun/pool holiday don't stay here as the sun is only on the pool for about an hour, and even then you're hopping beds to be in the sun. They have a huge gym which is great.
Breakfast was the best I've had anywhere. Anything you want you can have- even Ice cream and chocolate fountain :)
All in all it was a great stay. Only thing id change is rooms as bit dated but big bed, comfortable. And great location.

Wonderful location, great view of patronaz tower, the ambience, the lobby area, best in class room decor, clean & hygenic. Nice spread of breakfast with mouth lickering taste & wonderful hospitality by staff. Overall excellent stay, would like to go again & already have recommeded to some friends.

Room Tip: Take the patronaz facing, amazing view of the city.
