“Rooms in level 12”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2013

I am currently staying in the hotel and truly dissapointed with the room condition... The carpet is drenched n smelly. Also the toilet hose head is not available.. The surrounding area is very noisy with clubs, pubs and i could not have a good decent sleep.. The clubs operate till 4 am.. Breakfast area is very small n crammy...located at the bottom left of the escalator and long que to enter breakfast area... Food served were below average... Its an old hotel n in dire need of refiurbishment urgently.. Only consolation will be its close proximity to Jalan Alor.. Cheap Hawkers food

Room Tip: None i can think off..

i spent only one night at that hotel and i think it's enough for that hotel, the only good point in my opinion is the location cause it's in bukit bintang, that's it !!! The rooms is really old and need a renovation ,no WIFI at rooms, only at the lobby and it's so slow ,breakfast is so bad with less option ,the toilet is licking , at the end stay away from that hotel if you have other better option .

Room Tip: i think only the suite is the good rooms .

Try to see positive point for this hotel but unfortunately I can't get one.

-Very old interior in the main entrance and lobby area
- Very slow lift, there are 4 , one is broken with open door so every visitor can look inside the hole.
- I stay in the superior room higher than standard room but still the room looks
very old, not clean
- You can listen to your neighbour room conversation because the wall very thin
- Bathroom looks awful, very old if you check details you can see stain, hair etc
- Towel a bit yellow
- Breakfast very poor, because we travel with large group they set breakfast at 5th floor
- Just open after call reception and FB director came and observe. still not clean yet from last
night.

I wanted a reasonable hotel for the night before flying back to UK in the morning (6am start). Firstly the walls were thinner than a budget hotel so I heard every sound made by the nosily family next door. The room was shabby, the bath had a hole in it, the TV only got two local chanels and the WiFi routers were all turned off.

The front desk had no knowledge of the KLIA express and insisted that the only train to the airport was the slow one to the local terminal. They didn't seem keen to help me.

But one thing was completely unforgivable, my wake up call never happened! I could have missed my plane. Again front desk staff were unconcerned, so this is the review I promissed I would write.

This hotel may have been up to scratch in the 90s but is still thinks it is. The fittings and fixtures are tired broken and stained, you can do a lot better in KL for the price.

advantages:
good location , near to KLCC,Twin Tower,Pavilion,Times Square,Momorail
Clean rooms,sheets
they clean your room every day unless you hand "dont disturb" sign
it cost about 140 RM per day(reasonable)
bars , resturants and malls are around it

disadvantages:
facilities are old
I saw three little cockroaches during 6 days
streets netx to it are noisy and crowded in nights

Room Tip: the higher floors (14th and upper) the rooms more quiet.

It's ok here, our room was clean, but the whole place is just a bit shabby. They needed to start a general renovation last year. A good general location and, if you're high enough up, not too noisy. Take into account the nightlife nearby. We were not disturbed by it, but were quite high up. The outdoor pool is nice - but a little shabby. Shabby, I keep returning to that word. Free Wi-Fi in the lobby only. Generally helpful staff if not a little overworked.

Room Tip: The higher, the better.

This hotel is right in the city centre of Kuala Lumpur. The Petronas Towers can be seen from the hotel. Good shopping and food is nearby, lots of nightlife (loud in the night if you mind - I don't mind...). LRT (Railway) station is close by, so other areas of KL can be explored the cheap way rather than taking taxis all the time. Free wifi in the lobby is great. Wifi in the room did not work. Front Desk appealing and staff are helpful. I liked the complimentary room upgrade. The rooms clearly lack maintenance (as so many even 5* hotels in KL!!), but all the necessary amenities were provided (Towels, shampoo, bath gel, cotton tips, soap). Coffee and tea making facilities in the room. For a stay in the city recommended.
