“clean and close to everything”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 8, 2012

For those who want to stay in the middle of shopping street market and cheap hotel. This is the perfect hotel for you. We take the standard room with no window the room and bathroom was clean and its ok for us. Unluckily the lift is under renovation so we use staircase going to our room located in third floor. Its near the Paser Seni LRT station, Puduraya bus station, central market, and KL Gallery Museum. Food is not a problem since there's a lot of cheap food stall around chinatown.

Planed to stay here for two nights, but decided differently after the first one. I take away 3 points for the cockroach running through my room, the fungus on the ceiling and walls and the day blanket they only had. I give 2 points for location and silence. Price could be cheaper. I would consider staying again, because I have seen worse budget hotels hotels in KL.

this place is just fine. nothing special - but my room was clean, everything worked just fine...
location is quite good as well, no more than 10 mintes from the bus station and the place is located right in the heart of busy chinese street market
they also have a safe deposit boxes on the grund floor which is very helpful

Smack in the middle of Chinatowns busiest street. Step outside and you're surrounded by a vibrant market where you can find basically any souvenir, Chinese dish or counterfeit luxury item. On the inside, the hotel hasn't got an awful lot going for it. Grumpy employees at the reception are the first impression of the 'Inn', and it doesn't get a lot better after that.

We were put away in a double ensuite room the size of a closet. The small, concrete cube had no windows, the only fresh air came blasting from the aircon. On top of that, the rooms in this hotel seemed especially designed to make as much noise as possible. Simply washing your hands created an echo surely waking up your travelpartner. Guests on other floors where clearly audible as was the main aircon-hub, or whatever it was, next door humming, huffing and puffing 24/7.

Long story short, it was a bed at a top notch location, but I wouldn't recommend it if you're there to enjoy your stay. Sure you can get something better in Chinatown.

The location of the hotel is directly at the Chinatown area. The location is near to 3 KL Transit Line. It comes with the basic facilities like a hostel minus the kitchen for the hostel guest. There is provision of water cooler and no provision of in room mineral water. The hostel lobby look grander then each other level of the hotel. The room size is moderate. However, the room does come with television and not safe deposit box (if you need either of this or both). The hotel has an elevator. The wifi is provided for free. Very minimum contact with the staff of the hotel other than the check-in and out period. The aircon in the room is centralise. In other words, you cannot control the aircon within the room (this might be important if you are scare of cold or that you are staying in the no window room.) However, have been to KL many times and every time will stay in Chinatown area. This hostel is considered as one of the better one within the Chinatown area.

Room Tip: Get the room with window as the aircon are centralise. Without window and control of the air con som...

The Hotel is in a very good location, in the heart of China Town (as the name suggests), very close to sites of interest like Masjid Jamek, The Central mall and Merdeka Square, and walking distance (for the bravest) to the Petronas Towers.
The value for money is fair, even for Asian standards. Rooms are maybe quite small (and with no windows) but they are clean and the beds are comfortable. Moreover Chinatown area is quiet at night so no problems at all for sleeping.
Overall our stay was brief but pleasant, nothing to complain with.
If in KL for few days, I suggest to give it a chance!
