“Lovely hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 13, 2013

Nice hotel, efficient but not friendly staff on reception. Near Bukit Nanas station 2 stops from main centre, could walk to petronas in 15 mins via back route. Lovely room on 16th floor with view of said towers. International breakfast with fresh omlettes and wide range of food. Beware though pool sun for a few hours 1-4 and noisy construction site added to very busy bustle of city traffic. Would stay again if I was lucky enoufh to find myself if KL

Looking at some of the reviews, I think there must be at least two sections to this hotel. Or I was in the last/worst room they had on the 15th floor! Looking at the photos of the rooms in the elevator, I know I didn't get one of those rooms! The room was just that - a room with a bed and a chair. Pedestrian would be a word. Was there a chair in the room? Yes.Was there a bed? Yes. Were they comfortable - that was not the question (but no is the answer). And everything looks like it's worn out and in desperate need of an upgrade.

The room was airconditionied. The air was either on, at full blast, or off. Nothing in between. No controls to reduce the air - the thermostat clearly did not work.

The shower - cold. Not the way I prefer to start the day but i figured out that if you let the water run for about 10 mins it gets warm - but the first morning I didn't plan on the long wait for warm water - cold shower!

The TV is Ok, but many of the channels are blurry and not viewable.

Breakfast was just OK. It's chaotic and packed - but they seem to handle the crowds pretty well. I would equate the experience to dining in a hosptial or college cafeteria with a 70s decor.

The hotel is well situated and there are good restaurants nearby. I believe this is just a situation of a very dated hotel that has not kept up with the times and simply needs an overhaul. Two nights in this hotel were enough for me - it's not a place I would rush back to (or recommend).

Room Tip: I would specifically ask if the room has been upgraded or if you can get an upgrade. You never know...

The Concorde has a few eating and drinking establishments located within the building itself; ranging from a hard rock for casual dining and drinking or the Japanese sushi restaurant for the finer experience.

A short walk round to the Petronas towers and close to the monorail for escaping the traffic. KL surrounding traffic is busy in mornings and evenings and gridlocked at rainy times.

Breakfast caters for a wide range of appetites and is moderately busy normally. Egg station is present.

Room Tip: Premier rooms are nice with private lounge for check in and also for breakfast,

The hotel is located nearby to the Bukit Nanas station. You can take the monorail from bukit nanas station to bukit bintang station which is just two station away for the ultimate shopping experience in Kuala Lumpur. When i was staying in this hotel, it bothered me as some smell was lingering in the bedroom. The room deco looks old. However, the hotel provide numerous channel on tv, just in case if you had to stay in due to the rain. Room was spacious enough. Housekeeping service is good. and there is hard rock cafe located beside the hotel. its really crowded during the friday and saturday night.

This was my second stay at the Concorde and my wife and I had a wonderful stay. It's located about a 15 min walk from the Petronas Towers and across from the KL tower. I took a promotional stay that offered a pick up from the airport. I am so glad that we had that reserved because the line for taxis was very very long. Checking in to the hotel was quick and our room was huge. It was clean and smelled nice. Big shower head with lots of hot water. Comfortable beds and quiet A/C.
Breakfast in the VIP section had a variety to eat from and was delicious. I will definitely return to this hotel next time.

Great location in. an increasingly dirty and dangerous city. Rooms spacious and clean with well working air conditioning. Breakfast quite good but usual failure to supply any pork products because employees are more important than customers. Dim sum lunch in xin restaurant is very poor.

Stayed at the club room for 3 nights for a business conference. The 3 night package came with a complimentary hotel transfer and a choice between a free dinner and massage. The airport pick up was a little bit strange (no clear sign) but the staff were friendly. Checkin at the club lounge was efficient and the elevator to the club rooms was the closest to the hotel entrance.

The room I got had a decent size, although the furnishing, deco and amenities were pretty basic. Compared to the bedroom the bathroom had a nicer feel and look. The worst part of the room was the fact that the window was facing a concrete wall and there was hardly any sunlight in the morning. Not big issues if you are not in the room for most of the day.

What I liked the most about Concorde was the frienliness and helpfulness of the staff. Every staff I encoutered at the concierge, front counter, club lounge, business centre, restaurants and the spa was polite and helpful. I left a small item in the room after checkout and they were able to find and return it afterI contacted them.
