Stayed 2 nights mid-Feb 2013. Booked triple room. 3 single beds, room was ok size for 3 guys but we didnt stay in room for much except shower and sleep.
Taxi to Hotel from LCCT was about MYR105 (you pay for a taxi coupon at counter inside airport then bring out with you to taxi rank outside, give to valet who jots down taxi details - they wont take you without the coupon). Time was about average 45mins depending on traffic. Hotel is located at the shopping end of Bukit Bintang walk which i was told was like KL's red light district (dont think it was that seedy) as there's alot of masseuse shops around and people on the street asking if you want etc etc. Abit annoying but if you ignore or show no interest, they pretty much leave you alone. Whilst it may seem offensive or make some angry who are not used to it, they are just doing a job and making a living, so i wouldnt take it personally and just ignore. Saw many families, females around so pretty safe area (obviously you dont follow strangers or go any dark alleys, use common sense).
Hotel itself its ok. abit older but does the job and was reasonably priced. Clean which is a positive. Shower was spacious and hot water ran freely and strong. Free wifi in lobby only. Front desk staff was helpful. You get breakfast coupons for the cafe downstairs which is good (American or Malay breakfast). No swimming pool or gym room.
Close to all the main shopping (Pavillion, Berjaya Times Square, Lot 10, Faranheit 88) although for 30 year old male, i think Pavillion is only worth visiting as it has all that you need.
Behind Hotel (down Changkat Bukit Bintang road) is alot of pubs, bars, restaurants where alot of foreigners visit. Other drinking places inlcude walkway alongside Pavillion Shopping centre (a few of bars) and down opposite side of Hotel near Federal Hotel is another restaurant/bar area (forgot the name) but easily can spot it. connects to Low Yat Plaza which sells alot of IT/Phone/Electronics. Would drink at area near Pavillion as it seems abit more classy.
Petronas Towers about 15-20min walk in above ground air-conditioned tunnel so not too bad. Didnt know need to book tickets as its limited and runs out early so arrived and couldnt go up. Next available time was in 4 days so didnt go.
U-Cafe is a nice place for a meal and serves alcohol. price is not too bad. i think was about AUD$7 for meal and beer.
Overall would stay at Hotel again if looking for cheap, decent place to crash thats close to everything. But dont think would stay in KL for longer than 2 nights (enough time) and if had the money would spend in an upmarket luxury hotel.
Probably rooms away from main street, higher floor and away from elevator would be quieter.
