“Value for money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2012 via mobile

The hotel and rooms are dated and a touch worn. But the bathrooms and rooms were clean. Decent sized rooms. They give you complimentary coffee and tea in the room and breakfast. The breakfast is nothing fancy - but a good basic meal. The location is fantastic.

Hotel is located at Bukit Bintang, shopping area with many other hotels nearby and restaurants of different types both foreign and local. Walking distance to Monorail.
Good for solo person with option for local or western breakfast and free WiFi.

Room Tip: ask for room away from main road

I wont even bother to give a fully detailed explanation of what was wrong with this so called hotel! in short: Hairs in bed, stained bedcovers and sheet, also children's drawings all over the bedsheets, breakfast is terrible, stained carpets, dirty tired bathrooms, tv signal is poor, you get mostly fuzzy channels.

Location of the hotel is great if you want to be greeted by prostitutes and pushy taxi drivers every time you walk out of the door. The bell-boy doesn't even attempt to help even when he could quite clearly see me juggling with the pushchair and luggage on the super high ramp !

Much better hotels around on Bukit Bintang, but the area is v. over-rated not family friendly and the food is pretty rubbish on Jalan alor as well unless you like being harassed by the chinese restaurant owners!

It is an excellent area to build a hotel in my opinion. The hotel is only a # minute walk to mall-lot 10and a 5 minute walk to the mall-pavilion. they have many rooms but they are very tiny. but other than that the rooms are quite good.

Room Tip: The rooms are very small.

I stayed at Bintang Warisan Hotel for 2 nites over the weekend in early Sept. In summary, you get what you pay for so don't have exceedingly high expectations for this place. Price was good, rooms were somewhat clean and the location was excellent. Breakfast was a selection of western or asian and it was ok. Was surprisingly upgraded to a larger room.
Pros:
1. Location - so convenient.. center of the city/action and close to the monorail, shopping malls (pavilion etc), main st, food, entertainment..
2. Shower - strong and consistent hot water
Cons:
1. Location - if you feel uncomfortable with people on the street soliciting you with cheap watches, handbags and massages when you walk right out the door, then this place is not the place for you. Additionally, lots of the massage girls sit outside to invite you into the massage parlors. It is not as aggressive as in Beijing/Shanghai or Bali, and I personally had no issues with it.
2. Bed - pillow was way too soft.
3. Water - free water from the drinking fountain tasted suspiciously metallic

Room Tip: Don't forget to bring your own toothbrush as they don't provide one.

We stayed at Bintang Warisan Hotel for 4 days last July. We got the triple room as I was with my dad and sis. The hotel is very near with malls, food shops, train station, foot massage, groceries, money changer and all! :) The hotel is quite old but very clean and you get value for money. Breakfast is just okay but more can you ask more for the hotel rates that they offer. They also have free hot and cold water for drinking which is very good so you won't have to buy anymore outside. :) I tell you, you'll enjoy your stay in this hotel with the friendly staff that they have. I'll definitely stay here again when I get back to KL. :)

Traveling with family on a budget was quite tricky especially when you took your parents too. I couldn't book 'any cheap hotel' and Bintang Warisan solved the problem. Good room, clean bathroom and affordable.

The location was amazing, right in the vibrant area of Kuala Lumpur. When you stepped out of the hotel you're in Bukit Bintang, the hip part of the city, walking distance to Bukit Bintang monorail, Jalan Alor (gastronomic experience dinner) and even you can walk to the Petronas Twin Tower.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. They got us a cab to airport with reasonable price. NEVER take cabs that always park outside the hotel, they offer and bug you with ridiculous price and that would be the downside of the hotel. Breakfast surprisingly was good, quite tasty. Easy to find and reachable by public transportation.
