“Still a favourite!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2011

Dropped in for a single night stay celebrating my wife's birthday. We decided to use out SPG points to upgrade the room to the Westin suite and the suite was delightful!

The suites occupy the ends of each floor and is very spacious! We especially loved the bathroom with its nice bath and view (which is very different from those in the normal rooms - their bathrooms are internal without windows).

Service at the hotel is pretty good albeit expected at 5-star hotels. The location of the hotel is perfect, being just across Pavilion and on the same road as the premier shopping district of KL (Bukit Bintang).

All in all, still one of my all time favourite hotels - especially for a short stay in the city!

Room Tip: Rooms at higher floors offer a better view (especially the twin tower view ones). Am not sure about...

I stayed at Westin KL for a few day on my mid term study break on April this year in order to visit my BF. It's my first time to malaysia and my first stay at the Westin, cause I usually will stay at four season or Hyatt. I've been singularly impressed both by professionalism of all the staff and the general atmosphere within the hotel

My other favorite part about staying at this hotel was it was walking distance to everything. Although the breakfast buffet at the lobby was below average. But, overall I had a wonderful and memorable stay. I carry back special memories back to australia

Special thanks to Lina (The GRO at the executive lounge), she's so friendly and professional.

Really nice hotel and very accomodating. Across the street from a huge Mall with tons of shopping and restaurants. Very resonably priced. Breakfast was nice.

Stayed here for a few nights. The hotel is located in front of the biggest mall in KL so it was convenient for my family to enjoy shopping time here in KL. The hotel itself was not bad at all as far as the product is concern. It has nice lobby area in just right size, good size of rooms with nice typical Westin's style decor, etc. However, sadly, the level of their services provided here was not a 5 star standard. I experienced a couple of bad experiences here but on experience was that one of their staff opened my room without knocking on the door. I forgot to put the "do not disturb" sign or locked my door but this guy (the hotel's staff who's I didn't get his name checked) suddenly entered my room without my permission or knocking on the door. He opened the door with the hotel's master key and quickly left the room after I loudly shouted on him. My wife and I were in the room with our bedtime attire and deeply shocked with the experience. I wasn't sure if that guy was from the housekeeping or concierge. I believe that there are many standards of procedure of 5 star hotels especially about guest privacy and safety. Hotel staffs must knock on the door first and get permission from the guests (if they were in the room) before they can enter the room. I guess more training would be essential to keep up the hotel's satisfaction standard.

Perfectly located on Jalan Bukit Bintang - right in the heart of the shopping district. Great rooms, sensational restaurants and extremely attentive friendly staff.
We have stayed at the Westin KL on a number of occasions and each time we love it even more.
To Kim Powley and his wonderful staff many thanks and we can assure you that we will be back again shortly.
