“Impeccable Service Standards”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 10, 2013

The facilities in this hotel might need some touch up and upgrading, but for a traveler like myself who hardly spends much time in the room. I can tell you that this hotel is seriously amazing. Having stayed at a few hotels in the City Central Vicinity. Nothing beats the service in this hotel. It is so good that with each return to the hotel, even some random staff who helped me with my valet service recognized me. Not to mention the front desk manager Natalie, who remembers me by name. And some of the staff.

They made my stay better each time that I go there. And I'm really really impressed with the service. I have stayed there 5 times, and with each stay, they will always try to upgrade me to a bigger room even without requesting for it.

Then again, there were some changes to the front desk staff recently and I felt that they could have dealt with the situation better. Felt slightly condescended by one of the staff when I was checking in. But that being said, I'm not going to rate this hotel badly because of 1 isolated incident.

We stayed at the Ritz Carlton for 2 nights as part of a trip around Malaysia. It was our first port of call in Malaysia after a 13hour flight and it gave an excellent first impression. The immediate welcome and service we received befits its 5 star rating. The hotel is located centrally and is linked to some very expensive shopping malls by a walkway, which will take you all the way to the iconic twin towers. The room we had was superb, with plenty of space, a massive bathroom and wardrobe and changing area. It was immaculately clean and very comfortable, especially the bed, which allowed for us to have 2 great nights sleep. We used the gymnasium, which was well equipped and also the pool area. We only ate breakfast in the hotel, which was freshly cooked and of very high quality. The cost of food and especially alcohol in the hotel I felt was very expensive, but there were other restaurants and a very good food hall within the nearby Pavilion Mall, which served up every variety of food imaginable. The food hall was well used by the locals, always a good sign and very cheap for what was essentially very decent food. The staff at the hotel, especially in the restaurants and concierge well particularly attentive and helpful, which help provide a very good overall experience. i would highly recommend this hotel

On landing, I had to wait 15 minutes or so before the limousine driver picked me up. Even the hotel rep at the airport seemed embarassed. Suggestion: don't take the hotel limousine. Charges were astronomical and the service poor. Best to take a taxi from the airport. Check-in was effortless, the room was pleasant and I was happy. However, the following day (check-out day), there were a few issues. It took forever for the baggage to be picked up from my room, the check-out was painfully slow, the account rendered was inaccurate, apologies were given, then a further mess up with the use of the credit card, etc. Finally, I went for breakfast. Staff were pleasant. I ordered poaced eggs and they were stone cold. My initial relatively pleasant experience with the hotel had turned sour. I think I will try another hotel when I am next in kuala Lumpur.

Very good location at the heart of Kuala lumpur, but the room decoration is a bit "outdated" and noisy even that we've stayed in a big suite.

Internet service is a 4G payable modem, very weird option is such a hotel in such a developed city !

We've booked a Twin tower view suite, but we get a suite with no view at all!

Staff and concierge are friendly and always smiling.

Next trip, i may consider the Westin hotel in kuala lumpur as it looks more new and has even better location.

I am frequently staying at the Ritz in Kuala Lumpur for it's location every time for business purposes , but my last trip i went with my family members and i noticed that it is not suitable for the family travel and stay because it is not offering services for the young childrens for example ( swimming pools and activities for the babies ) while it is great for the couples whom looking for a peace of mind stay as it is provide you with very good honey mooners stay.
in this review i would like to thank two persons whom provide me with an excellent services from the enterance at the reception of my recent stay at the Ritz ( Mr. patrick and his coleague Mr. Vellu ).

I just would like from the management of the hotel to consider to provide FREE wireless internet access in the rooms becuase this is the way of 21 centurey way of life !
and i would like from the managment to improve the breakfast as it is a little bit need to be improved specially the way of introducion and cooking in front of the guest ( it is nice to see how it is cooking specially the eggs in the mornning :)

Room Tip: don't book at the hotel if you are looking for some activity for small kids and childrens they w...

Good quality hotel that is quite large but feels small and very personal. Great rooms, good restaurants, very pleasant and helpful staff. Welcome you by name and treat you as a long lost friend. Excellent location in the heart of the modern city, joined to a large up market shopping mall which also has ahuge food village with lots of places to eat varying types of food.

When we got to this hotel. I was worried. Its in a funny back street. The reception area is dreadful. Terrible old rug on the floor and a huge fake Canelotto of Venice - the interior designer should be shot. However the rooms were very nice.. you have to pay to hire a DVD ( never had to pay before ) And very sadly in the 21st century you have to pay for WIFI. I was away 3 weeks satying at 4 ,5* hotels this was the only one which charged
This is so short sighted of the management , as when ever we wanted WIFI we would go toSstarbucks acres the road for free WIFI, We meet other guest who did not have breakfast , lunch in the hotel due the WIFI charge.
The staff were very nice, Great location once you figure out where you are. Its not the sort of hotel you would want to go to on holiday , but for a brief visit all was well.
Would i recommend this hotel ? NO..i think you can guess why
