We stayed at this hotel on the 22nd of Feb for 3 nights.
We arrived and we were immediately taken up personally to the horizon club floor to check in. We sat down and I asked if it was possible that we had a view of the Petronas Towers, the helpful concierge then checked us in the told us "unfortunately" they had to upgrade us as there was horizon club rooms with a view so if it was OK they would put us in a suite on the 25th floor.
The room was lovely as you will see from the pictures and the staff could not have been more helpful.
We ordered room service on the first night as we were so tired we could not be bothered going out and it arrived as promised within 20 mins. For two main courses we were about £15 which by UK standard is very reasonable and the food was delicious.
In the morning we were served breakfast in the horizon club (free for the horizon club guests) which was lovely, although you do have the option to eat at the lemon garden which is downstairs. The selection was more than adequate for breakfast but there is more selection downstairs at the lemon garden.
Afternoon tea was served between 2 and 4 with lovely cakes, sandwiches and fruit. Almost enough for lunch!
Then in the evening free drinks are available along with a buffet from 6 until 8. The buffet is lovely and you help yourself to drinks. This saved us a lot of money as the drinks are quite expensive in the hotel, i think we were about £6 or £8 for a cocktail.
The hotel is about 10mins walk from the Petronas Towers and Suria KLCC which is the nicest shopping centre.
The second night we ate in the Starhill complex, reached by taxi in about 10mins (8 ringgit) in a Thai restaurant that the concierge recommended. Food was gorgeous and about £15 for 2 meals with starters, main courses and drinks.
The next night we ate in the Bombay Palace that the hotel recommended, which again was good but not excellent. Food again about £13 for starters, main courses and drinks. Just make sure your taxi driver knows where he is going first as ours got lost!
All in all, i would thoroughly recommend the hotel. KL is a lovely city and when we come back in the future we will definetly stay a this hotel.
We then moved on the Pelangi Beach at Langkawi and then the Shangri-La Tanjung Aru.
