This is the former Regent Hotel. Now a new management has taken over.
Location-wise, spot on. Within walking distance to to monorail and next to shopping complexes. Great food available around the area especially at Marriott Hotel/Starhill Complex opposite the Grand Millennium.

Rooms are dated but clean.
Some maintenance required.
Room views are not great.

Breakfast was OK. Not great.

Hotel appears a bit short staffed.
Be careful of your belongings in the hotel lobby or resturants as some theft have been reported.

Overall, a decent stay. But top rate for location.

Finding the hotel wasn't that hard as you just have to mention that the hotel is exactly beside the new Pavillion shopping mall and you just cant miss it. Hotel lobby looks very classy and they have individual check-in desk where you get to seat in front of the receptionist instead of most hotels' stand up receptions. They do live piano/singer performance during early evening till late on daily basis, which I think is a very nice touch.

Big and premier deluxe spacious room with a view of bukit bintang (+)
Dirty pillows which we asked to be exchanged immed (-)
Broken toilet door handle (-)
Low definition quality of TV channels (-)
Cool toilet seat with nozzle spray (+)
A wide-spread for buffet breakfast (+)

Conclusion: I will definitely come back here as this must be the best value-for-money hotel around the area, and with close proximity to most malls in bukit bintang area.. I'm glad that I dont have to haggle price with taxi drivers no more..

I stayed at Grand Millenium, KL from 5 to 8 June 2009.
The staff and service were indeed of 5 star standard. they acceded to my requests almost at once and some were proactive to provide even before i asked.
Unfortunately, my first impression was marred by an incident which cannot be ascertained to be truthful or not. My domestic helper lost a RM50 note when she placed her wallet in a backpack which she allowed the porters to bring up the luggage to the room. The staff did an investigation but wasn't able to establish any leads.
The overall ambience was nice but a little dark for my liking. Room was also nice but it was clearly a refurbished room. There were areas of dissatisfaction which i experienced. The walls were pretty thin. i could hear my next door guests using the toilet! The hot water wasn't really hot as well. Was hoping for a real nice relaxing hot tub experience...I could not control the room temperature. Settings available is low,med and high but the low was still really cold. Interestingly, my family could sleep through the night comfortably with the aircon off. On one of the days after returning to my room. there was cigarette smell in the room. Dont know how it got there! I don't smoke.
Other than these misgivings, it was a pretty good experience at this hotel. If asked whether i would stay there again, i would really reconsider unless its a really good deal. Oh yes, the car park is brightly lighted and the exit is manned by a parking attendant in a booth. Felt safe to park my car there. Location is great with many roadside eateries available. of course, the newest shopping centre along bt bintang is right smack beside the hotel.

Stayed for 4 nights with my daughter.Very nice hotel with friendly staffs except for the chck-out receptionist ,Yuva,( not a thank you back when I say thanks). Bathroom does needs some update especially the water taps which make an awful noise when you turn them on. Comfortable beds, flat screen TV with good english channels and room air-con can now be set according to the temperature you like. Free Wi-Fi in the foyer area.
Area around the hotel is very suitable for tourists for shopping and eating the many varieties of food especially in Jalan Alor.
Monorail is round the corner and can then connect you to the LRT for other parts of KL.
Airport bus from LCCT will take you direct to hotel for RM$15 with Star Shuttle. I think it is a bit more from KLIA.

The hotel facade looks great. The customer service superb and the doorman & door women are attentive and polite. Rooms are spacious and clean. The only let down is the fact that the shower cubicles are really tired and have began to rust. For a 5star hotel this is a lack of attention to detail
