Stayed at Grand Millennium KL for 2 Nights in the deluxe room with a friend.
Location of the hotel is very convenient, new shopping mall Pavilion is just beside it. Monorail station Bukit Bintang is only 5 mins walk to the opposite.
Hotel staffs are helpful and we were always greeted warmly everywhere from the door man to the front desk, restaurants and housekeeping maids from our level.
Guest can be seated comfortably while checking in and out. First impression was fantastic with the impressive lobby and good services.
Room was great with LCD TV and big & comfy beds. Ours was 2 single beds combined together.
But to our disappointment, the toilet was bad. The taps were old-fashioned and makes loud sound whenever we uses it. The standing shower head was spoiled, no choice but to use the bath tub hand-held shower. I wander why there is no shower curtain, water splashes out and made the floor very wet after every shower.
Other than the toilet needs refurbish, housekeeping needs to be improved too. Surprise to see one of the pillow case was torned and the mini bar was not clean thoroughly, found traces of instant noodles must be left by the previous guest.
We definately able to get a better hotel with the same amt of price we paid. The hotel should spend money on the rooms instead of making the lobby so fantastic.

We stayed at the Grand Millennium the week before the F1. We found the staff very professional and the hotel and our lovely room a place of refuge after sightseeing and shopping. It is centrally located in Bukit Bintang Rd only about 200 metres from shopping centres, eateries and the monorail. The Deluxe room was beautiful and spacious, with a lovely bathroom. The king size bed was nice and soft with large plump pillows and we had a fantastic view of the Petronias Towers. The hotel has recently been refurbished. Unfortunately we were unable to have a late check out on the Friday 21 March as the F1 was being held and they were fully booked (we requested 6.00pm), however they were very accommodating and let us vacate the room at 1.00pm and leave our bags there and then go to the Spa and Massage room, were we could lie down, rest, have a cup of tea or coffee until we were ready to leave at 6.00pm for our flight. (They even dimmed the lights when my husband and I fell asleep)!!!!!! I would definitely stay again and certainly recommend it to others.

“Our stay at Grand Millennium”

My fiancee and I stayed at the Grand Millennium (Formerly The Regent) over the F1 weekend. Here is our review of the hotel:

Location - The location itself is great. It is close to the monorail, major shopping centres and food eateries. However, due to the constant jams along Bintang walk where the hotel is located, it may be difficult to get a taxi, or the taxi driver refusing to stop at the hotel itself.

F&B outlets - The service provided by the wait staff was excellent. Do try their weekend buffets at The Mill which is 1 for 1 for in-house guests. We had the seafood buffet and for the price and selections, it was indeed value for money.

Rooms - Attached are pictures of the rooms. Although the lobby had undergone a massive refurbishment, the rooms and their funishings were pretty much the same / dated (except for the flat screen TV) as compared to much newer, chic or refurbished hotels like Traders, Maya and Westin.

Sound-proofing was inadequate as we could hear the slamming of doors and people talking down the corridors.

On a positive note, the deluxe room was bigger than most hotels due to the triangle alcove which provided more space.

Check-in - Checking-in took a long time as attributed by the influx of guests for the Easter weekend / F1. We waited for almost 20 mins before the guest relations could attend to us. In fact, they had to check us in at their business centre which took another 20 mins as they had to check on our room availablity.

Room Services -
1. The room service meal portions can be improved.
2. During the daily housekeeping, a fresh set of toiletries was not given when they see your soap bottles still half utilized (faced this problem at the Crowne Plaza as well).
3. Turndown service had to be requested for. This should be a routine service provided by major 5 star hotels.

Overall, our experience at this hotel was good and we have no major concerns. However for the price of the room and the recent rebranding, we do expect better room furnishings and guest relations service.

Another plus point - we managed to catch the F1 fireworks from our room shooting up from the Menara tower at 1.30am on Sunday morning!

This hotel was great! My boyfriend and I stayed here about a year ago so the review is a little late, but I must let people know about this place. The hotel is very nice with a great breakfast in the morning. Rooms are nice, clean and spacious. The location is good, we were very close to everything, we walked to many places or took a short inexpensive cab ride. A shopping center and 7eleven are across the street. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone.

“Fantastic from beginning to the end”

Grand Millennium Kuala Lumpur

I was in Kuala Lumpur for a work conference, the hotel was picked by my employer.

The property is located in a busy, shopping and restaurant district of the city. It is of walking distance to the Petrona Twin Towers and KLCC shopping centre. The KL Monorail is also nearby (a 30 sec. walk) and is a very cheap and convenient way to get around.

I was extremely pleased by the fantastic, fast check-in. The room was very clean, modern with a large flat-screen TV. My package included a fruit basket, daily laundry and free Internet. Those are extras when not on a package. The L'Occitane products in the bathroom were a nice touch. The bed was very comfortable and I had no trouble sleeping because of noise or other nuisances.

The breakfast buffet was huge with a variety of Western (no pork, Malaysia is mostly Muslim) and Asian foods. This included waffles, omelets, etc.

Whenever I needed something (ironing board, laundry) it was done quickly.

Absolutely not complaints.
