Amazing hotel , Service unbelievable but inatrusive , this was my 2nd visit and have booked to go again in 2 weeks time ,The swimming pool area on the 3rd floor is the best with great views of the gardens and cold face towels and iced water offered evey hour. Then you go next door to the best designer shopping centre ( top tip buy your shoes for £7 each at the big department store ).All in all what more could a girl ask for , a must stay if going to KL

“An oasis of tranquility”

Stayed at the MO KL twice in the last two weeks in a Club Room. Staff are so friendly - they even remembered our name as we walked in from shopping. This is the place to stay in KL.
Worth the extra cost of the Club room - nothing is to much trouble.

We stayed in the Mandarin Oriental for 2 nights in January of this year.

The room was fantastic, really spacious with a huge bath and separate shower.

The windows stretched from floor to celling and we had a fantastic view of the Petronas Towers from our window. The staff were friendly and although breakfast was a little 'different' it was still good.

All in all a great place to stay.

We stayed at the MO for four nights from 30 March.

The service from the staff at this hotel is absolutely impeccable. Always with a smile, always efficient, and always friendly.

The rooms are good, but nothing spectacularly special. We booked a 'premium city view' room - and we were given a room on level 15, looking out towards the Petronas towers. The problem is that this view is dominated by the rooftop of the Suria shopping centre which sits on the ground level of the Petronas towers. Our friends who were in the 'regular' rooms, had nice sweeping views of KL overlooking parks (although no Petronas towers). My tip, don't bother wasting the extra money to get the view of the towers.

Room maintenance wasn't that great. We had to get our toilet fixed three times during our stay. Absolutely inexcusable for a hotel of this standard. Also, the ironing board in our room collapsed the minute it opened. Also inexcusable!

Otherwise - a pretty enjoyable stay.

“Fantastic”

We stayed at the Mandarin Oriental for one night in March, after getting a fabulous deal through AsiaRooms.com. All the reviews we had read lead us to believe that this hotel was nothing less than perfect and we were not disappointed in any way.

Check-in was swift and the room was amazing. All staff were extremely helpful, courteous and polite. The poolside was very relaxing and the pool itself was lovely, overlooking a part of the city. Upon arrival, you are given huge towels, some drinking water and a bottle of water to spritz yourself with, if required!

We did not have breakfast at the hotel, but did meet some friends for drinks in the bar in the evening. Although we were expecting this to be very expensive, the food and snacks we had were all very reasonably priced. At one point, our friend was escorted to the Ladies Room, by one of the bar staff, after enquiring where she could find them!!

We could not fault this hotel in any way.

We stayed at the KL Shangri-La on this same trip and loved it, but if we ever return to KL, we will definitely stay at the Mandarin Oriental - sorry Shangri-La!
