“High standard and good location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 21, 2013

This is located in a relatively quiet area of KL The big benefit is that it sits on top of a "mall" of restaurants of varied styles of cuisine. Rooms are pleasant and spacious, with good perspectives from the upper floor. Reception is swift and friendly. Plenthy of shopping outlets in the multiple malls in this area. East transit to KL's central station and the express rail service to KL's international airport.

The hotel is very nearby shopping mall, surrounded by eating and drinking place, only 10 min walking distance to KLCC. Friendly staff, nice room, great food! But the lighting at the restaurant which provide breakfast buffet was too dark.

Room Tip: Need more light at the restaurant which provide breakfast buffet.

This is my very first time stay in Marriot KL for my son's birthday celebration. The place is just nearby Lot10 and Pavillion is just less than 5 min. walking distance. Staff friendly, room nice, restaurant good, city view perfect, toilet clean, location ideal, swimming pool free apple & drinks, carpark free...etc etc. One of the best stay in the hotel people remember your name and when you anything to arrange is just convenient, at least I experience it. The bad thing is no free internet, or you need a laptop for free internet service. They provide dongle.

Got a nice large corner room which was much better from a stay a few years earlier where the room was small and cramped. The hotel is now looking a bit dated but the location is fantastic especially for shopaholics as it is literally surrounded by shopping malls and you are within walking distance to some good restaurants and local food scenes such as Jalan Alor. Service is fine and attentive and has elements of personal touch which is nice. I saw one of the staff strike up a conversation in the lift with a couple of ladies who were attending a wedding comlimenting them on their dresses and then offering to carry their bags for them even though they were getting off on a different floor. Nice touch. The lobby area can be very busy.

Had a 8 days seminar in this hotel and overall the hotel looks tired and old. Generally the price does not match the current status of the hotel. In room dining was expensive and quality was so so. No free wifi...wait...there was no wifi facility at all in the room unless you pay some kind of deposit for a wifi drive. The lift was slow and took so long to come up and not all are working. However, they really tried hard at the service department. Helpful, well-trained and sensitive to customer's request. Also the location was a plus. Room was okay but still old looking. Bed was quite comfortable.

Stayed at this hotel for a convention however I must say the hotel looks old and in dire need of a renovation. The location of the hotel is good ( within walking distance to a number shopping malls and eateries). The queue for morning breakfast (Shook!) is horrendous and unnecessary- the food offering was disappointing given that I've read rave reviews about this place. They seem to put too much cornstarch in everything!
There's no free wifi in the rooms and you can only access to free wifi at business center or lobby.
The in room dining was over priced and food quality was disappointing in comparison to the price.
Overall good location but they need to renovate the hotel as it looks dirty ( stained carpets, peeling paints) from the outside and common areas( lobby, business center).
There are better options for the rate it was offering.

I was at the Lounge last Sunday with my family expected to have English High Tea set, however, was told not available due to they are having chocolate buffet. Due to my family and i dont really have sweet tooth thus we decided to have ala-cart pastry instead. The Cheese cake was normal. However, the macaron was the worse ever macaron i ever tried. It was extremely sweet. We just feel like we are biting a rock sugar and taste nothing else. When requested to add on hot water on the tea pot was rejected by the server as she mention no refill available. This is seriously not acceptable. I do not mind to pay extra for the refill of hot water as i believe the tea leaf could still made few pot of nice tea. However, to order another fresh pot of tea doesnt seems to make sense at all. I sincerely wish the managment could look into the services and the quality of food provided. I ordered 5 macaron and left 3 in plate. I believe as a 5 star employee, you will surely notice it and ask why i did not consume it, because Macaron wasnt something filling. The only reason it left on plate should be the quality of food wasnt up to your guest expectation. Obviosuly, they didnt bother about it.
