“Noted for its Roti”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2012

Used to come here for my Sunday brunch 10 years ago so in my recent trip, I decided to come here for a quick bite. Raju's (formerly) award winning Roti is still as tasty as ever. It stands out from other curry house as it uses powdered milk in their Roti mix.

This place can get rather busy on Sundays. When it's busy your order may take its time to find you. But other than that, the food is still yummy and you really can't complain about the service....it is what it is.

“A Slice of Madras in Kuala Lumpur”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 10, 2012

An authentic South india 'canteen' type restaurant with all the usual Tamilian dishes - dosas, vadais, samosas etc with an added touch - Roti canai. a fluffy roti so light it melts in the mouth plus a chicken or fish curry to go with roti canai -.Food excellent. Service quick and great. Cheap and cheerful.
The authentic touch extends to the spartan table which was just a little greasy to touch.
Not for a romantic night out but rather the best spot for a anytime snack.

“Give me Raju anyday.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 19, 2012

Had such a craving for Raju's roti canai so made it yesterday and was happily satisfied with a banana leaf of roti canai and a delicious chicken leg, so yummy delicious as far as I am concerned. Service was brilliant but then we were there at 4 and not lunch hour and also the staff know us so were very friendly and quick to help. I will always come here as it is my favourite !

“Just mediocre!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 19, 2012

Both my spouse and I used to frequent this restaurant many decades ago as our two sons studied in the school next-door. So, often after dropping them off, we ended in this open-air eating place beside the road and had breakfast. It was always the simple Indian breakfast of hot tea, thosai, idli with sambar - dhall cha, the usual coconut chutney etc. Just a simple breakfast and it only cost us a few ringgit. Days passed and recently we decided to stop by for the same breakfast.

First, it took a long time for a waiter to come to take our orders. Then we waited and waited and almost walked away when finally our tea came that too with several reminders. The quality was also not as before. When the bill finally arrived , also after waiting long and several reminders, it was pricey.

Just a mediocre place and mediocre service. Standards have dropped! Service needs attention.

“Nothing to shout about, but good nevertheless.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 4, 2012

I've been here a couple of times actually. One of THE best Roti Canai in Malaysia, hands down! Especially during breakfast, their roti canai is crisp and has great taste. Sambar and coconut chutney is also good, but not the best. Everything else is just mediocre. Slightly overpriced for it's setting, but nothing exorbitant. Quite surprised when I say many other reviews complaining about their service, as I find it quite alright. I would go again anytime for it's Roti Canai but probably not for anything else.
