“Book now!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2013

There are hotels where you are made to feel very welcome and others where you can feel almost like an intruder. The Dua Sentral comes very much under the former. From entering the hotel for the first time to checking out, the staff could not have been more helpful. It really does make a difference to be greeted with a warm smile at reception or in the restaurant. We spent 4 nights here and it is difficult to find fault. It is only a 10RM taxi ride from KL Central station which has a fast link with the airport. There is a limited courtesy bus from the hotel to KL central stationas well. Rooms are well equipped and comfortable. There are several restaurants of which I can only comment on one - the Kembali on the ground floor. Service here really is excellent with a choice of a la carte or a wide ranging buffet and the food was delicious. Breakfasts are provided in the Kembali and cater for all tastes. I would find it difficult to believe anyone who said they were not satisfied with what was on offer from the extensive buffet.
If there is room for improvement, I would suggest that it is with housekeeping but I am really talking about trivial issues. We don't think it neccessary to change towels every day and followed the instructions only to find all the towels had been replaced! There were one or two inconsistencies ( towels taken but not replaced) which was more inconvenient than anything.
Kuala Lumpur is only a 90 minute flight from where we live in Thailand and we intend returning eventually and would need a lot of pursuading not to book the same hotel.

Dear Suratrichard
It is really a wonderful and very supportive commentary and indeed makes the whole team very proud of their involvement in making your stay comfortable. It is also excellent to see our associate team apply themselves in a friendly and supportive way to ensure you are made to feel really welcome. The comments on housekeeping are duly noted and we will follow up directly on the towel placements in the suites.
We look forward to welcoming your return patronage on your next visit from Thailand to Kuala Lumpur!
Thank you indeed!
With very best wishes

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. I've never stayed at the Best Western's premier hotel chain. This hotel is located very close to the KTM train station. However, I would recommend taking a cab because you'll get run over in this city. A cab cost 10 MYR. The hotel is large and modern. My room was great, large, clear, modern with a great view of the city. The hotel felt safe and the staff was all very friendly. The breakfast was great, the largest breakfast buffet I've ever seen with a hotel. A cab to city center or LCC will be about 15 MYR but traffic was gridlock when I was there and I ended up walking to many places. I would stay at this hotel again on my next visit.

Dear Cowsarered,
Great to receive you favourable comments! Everything was perfect for you which is the way we want our guests to be looked after! The room size is indeed on of the hotel's outstanding features and is a tremendous PLUS for anyone of our guests staying at the hotel! The friendly staff comment will certainly be appreciated and I have taken the liberty of posting your note on the staff notice board so that they can receive the comment directly.
We look forward to your next stay and taking good care of you!

The previous review about poor car park design and the difficulty to find this hotel is very true. If you are driving here, don't use the GPS coordinate provided by the hotel, as it will bring you to the exit of the hotel and you will have to make a super big/congested round to find the entrance. Use the Catholic Church beside this hotel as your location instead. Also, the car park is not free, RM8/exit, NOT per day!
Apart from these 2 issues, this hotel is very good. Walking distance to both LRT & Monorail station, where you can take public transport to reach either KLCC or Bukit Bintang without changing train.
The 2 bedrooms premier suite that we get is brilliant. Very spacious, all together 3 queen size (or double?) beds were provided. 3 TVs in the suites and since this hotel is still quite new, everything is on good condition.
However, the kitchen is not meant for cooking, no utensils were provided, no stove or microwave oven either.
The restaurant by the pool (Hugo on 6) served very delicious pizza, worth a try.
And if you prefer more economical Chinese food, there is a restaurant (Woo Lan Restaurant) located directly opposite the hotel. Just go out from the main door of the hotel, turn right, walk pass the TNB building and you come to a main road. Cross 1/3 of the road, and you shall see a walkway leading to the opposite of the hotel (underneath the bridge), at the end of the walkway, turn left and continue to walk until you see the restaurant on you right. The foods are so nice! A must try in that area.
Swimming pool is good, gym available, but not sauna.

I will still recommend this hotel since the rate is reasonable and it is very new.

Dear Travel_freak_mas,
The GPS is indeed one of the finer ways to find the hotel right next to The Rosary Church, a famous monument in K.L. city. As mentioned in our literature the hotel has a great location and right next to the LRT and Monorail stations with connections also to the Kuala Lumpur International Airport some 45 minutes from the station. This a fast and easy way to the airport! You mentioned the great price appreciated for the two bedroomed suite and the enjoyable experience of a fabulous pizza which can be enjoyed at Hugo's on 6 overlooking the fabulous views of central K.L. towards the 'Twin Towers"!
We 'thank you indeed' for your patronage and letting the hotel hear your suggestions and comments.
Sincerely
Ian Hurst

We arrived with high hopes thinking that a hotel of this class and reputation will make our stay a remarkable one. However the location was a pain to find due to tiny entrance way and the many twist and turn leading to it. We do not advise people to drive if they want to stay here. Next, the parking was a nightmare. The tiny ramp going up and down was so small out car just barely squeeze through. After all the ordeal we thought of having a relaxing sauna but unfortunately there isn't one and the steam bath is chargeable for hotel guests. Worst experience was the request for a cotton or feather pillow. It took us more then four hours and 4 calls to the housekeeping and 1 call to the front desk in order to get them to deliver the first pillow that turned out to be another polyester pillow. Although we explained that polyester pillows caused us neck pain they still deliver same pillow until finally they send only one. They only have one, horror!

Dear BuddyTravel168

The hotel has received some criticism in the past regarding its location and we are seeking approval to place lit directional signs for the entrance to the hotel though its location is well received by our customers being close to the railway and bus stations and the airport railway connection. The pillow requirement has been followed up and assure you that your request if placed for a future stay will be honoured.
We thank you for your patronage and look forward to making you feel welcome should you return to Kuala Lumpur in the near future.
Yours sincerely.

We moved from another hotel in KL which was awful. Best Western was amazing, they upgraded our room and we were treated like royalty. The staff were really friendly and always looking to help, the hotel itself was lovely and the spa was amazing too. The infinity pool overlooked the city - the petronas towers and observation tower. The restaurant next to the pool had amazing food and at decent prices. We couldn't say anything bad about our stay here.

We had our company meeting from 26-28 May 2013 in this hotel. It's a new hotel so no complaints on the rooms. The bedroom I stayed in has an adjoining living room and kitchenette. Safe is in the closet in the bathroom The Wi-Fi is free. Our meeting was on the 6th Floor (pool and pub also on 6th floor). Our breakfast, lunch, dinner was provided. The food in the restaurant is really good (we had buffet style), highly recommended. The smoking area is near the entrance with a few small tables. And there's a small lobby shop selling essentials.
If you take the taxi from KL Sentral to the hotel, it will cost you RM10. However, there is a free hotel shuttle to and from the hotel to KL Sentral. It will take you 20-30 minutes to walk (or a short taxi ride) to the KL Sentral Monorail station and the shops in the area. To me, this hotel is a good retreat from the hustle and bustle of KL.
I will definitely come back in the near future.

Dear VicDavies

Thank you for taking your time to write a review on the hotel and especially mentioning the excellent and convenient location as well as our regular shuttle bus services. Whilst there is a large selection of restaurant choices in the area, we do pride ourselves on our own extensive
culinary choice with an added benefit of regular specialities and favourites which Malaysia is renowned for around the world. Various promotions are currently existing in the month of June with a speciality Australian seafood and steak presentation in our Grill Restaurant.
We thank you indeed for your patronage and look forward to ensuring your next visit is even more memorable.

Dear Resa b

Your comments are really supportive of the efforts that the hotel is placing in its recognition programs, training and development in guest services. We want also to be outstanding in all our culinary offerings so your mention of breakfast as being 'fantastic' means that we are really providing a breakfast to meet all the culinary requirements of a very diverse client base from the region and around the world. We have a specialist North Indian chef who is creating a stir in our local community so much so that he is now becoming a growing celebrity. Also our entertainment themes inspired by local bands with outdoor charcoal fired BBQ in Hugos on 6 over the pool deck are growing in popularity at the weekends!
We warmly welcome you for your next visit to Kuala Lumpur.
