“Excellent location , good for a budget hotel.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 25, 2013

We had a pleasant stay @ Beltif hotel. The staffs were friendly & helpful. We checked in @10:00 hours . The room was nice & clean albeit a bit small but very comfortable. There was a problem with the AC.However upon requesting the reception , a technician was send & problem taken care of. The best part about the hotel is its location. Walking distance from the Times Square mall & Imbi monorail station. The breakfast offered was a little bit on the down side however for the money charged the whole package is worth it. Also, do try the food offered on the street side Chinese eatery just 100 meters off the Hotel towards Times Square
i would also like to add an incident, where I left my phone in the hotel's cab on my way to airport. Upon calling the hotel , they took care of the situation & as per my request handed over the phone to one of my friend who happened to be in KL at that time. They hotel staffs were very accommodating & were always willing to help me trace my phone.
I'm sure you won't get a better "value for money " deal in the Bukit Bintang region than the Beltiff hotel.

It was a typical economic hotel and worth to pay for it. Located in nice location and easily to go Time Square and many other places. Breakfast was normal but environment was not so good as we thought. We stayed 2 nights in this hotel and no problem was found. One good thing was a cabby is always waiting at hotel lobby and we don't need to find or call a cab. The front office staffs had warmly smiles and helpful.

Having had bad experiences with budget hotels in Kuala Lumpur, I wasn't getting my hopes up when a friend recommended this hotel to me. But I was in for a pleasant surprise.

Located just at the back of Times Square in the popular Bukit Bintang district, which makes that just a short 10-minute slow walk away, I found this hotel modern, clean, well run and yes, at an affordable price (less than US$30 a night) for a standard room, and it comes with a simple buffet breakfast, too.

Check-in was done quickly by a friendly, English-proficient staff. She was also helpful with directions and other information.

The standard room has no windows, but it is of an acceptable size, so I felt no claustrophobia. It was clean, the bed was a queen, the mattress firm. There is no cupboard but there is a clothes hanging rack. There is a LCD TV but the programmes are limited. But one doesn't go to KL to watch TV. The room airconditioning is quiet and can be manually controlled, another plus. A water kettle, two small bottled water and sachets of tea and coffee are standard issue.

The bathroom is also clean, the water flow strong. There is a shower stand only but I always prefer that to showering in a slippery bathtub. Shower gel, shampoo and a toothbrush kit are provided. The toilet bowl was white and without any stains.

Overall, this is a fairly quiet hotel. The main doors are shut at 10 pm for safety and one enters by showing the security guard your room keycard.

For all of the above, it may be worth it to pay a few more dollars for a room with a view if a windowless room does not appeal.

There are eateries all around this hotel and if you want to eat at a better looking restaurant and do your shopping, a walk to the Berjaya Times Square Mall is all one needs to do.

I would definitely stay here again when I am next in this city.

Room Tip: Opt for a room with a window if you don't like staying in a windowless room. But expect to pay a...

The Beltif Hotel is close to many good restaurants and about a ten-minute walk from Imbi LRT station.

We had booked three superior rooms for three nights but arrived in Kuala Lumpur two days earlier. We decided that there was no point in changing hotels after two days and called the hotel. They told us that only deluxe rooms were available.

The deluxe rooms were cramped but very clean. There was no fridge or wardrobe. In fact room amenities were at the minimum. The window overlooked a high wall about 3-4 feet away. Beyond that a large crane, or maybe a pile driver, was visible on a nearby construction site. Late one evening it started work but stopped almost immediately.

After two days we were kept in the same rooms. So our deluxe rooms were actually superior rooms! Or was it the other way around?

The breakfast was an apology and the one toaster, which had everybody queuing up for it, must have been left behind by the British when they gave the country independence.

The staff at the reception were very friendly and helpful and this, plus the cleanliness of the hotel, made it a bargain.

All in all our stay there was a pleasant experience and the Purple Cane Restaurant across the street was a bonus to staying here.

Room Tip: I don't know

Setup like a boutique hotel for a minimum price. For the price you pay, you get a clean and comfortable room. The down side is it a bit off the major happening places, so its a very quiet place. You get all the amenities.

Room Tip: A must try place to stay. Its quite a distant from Bukit Bintang, otherwise it great.
