“Romantic stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 22, 2014 via mobile

This little cosy villa almost perfect. Big room, very clean, fantastic service , good bf. Nice big poor.( have to book the room with private poor access). The only disadvantage is no taxi service around there. Something you have to wait for long time to order a taxi. The villa has a van. When the van available the driver will sent you to nearby for free.

How gorgeous in a busy city to come home to a swim and a glass of wine in peaceful surroundings
The rooms are exceptional, the beds very comfortable and the staff obliging
The breakfast is very good and the restaurant food the rest of the day is good without being exceptional - well worth staying a few minutes out of town to be able to relax after sight-seeing

Room Tip: We loved having a room that led straight to the pool but this was a more expensive option

Hard wood floors, traditional malaysian decor and furniture, and an amazing rap around pool make this place pretty epic. The room was truly georgeous. The shower and hot tub in the room are fantastic as well. The major downside is the visitor policy. We had a friend come hang out and they were very suspicious that he was going to spend the night and told us he could only stay for 2 hours. The place is about a mile walk from KLCC, which was not convenient, but also sort of the point, since the place creates a relaxing atmosphere and creates the illusion that you are at a resort far from the city. WiFi was good enough to Skype.

I would have given this place 5 stars hands down if not for the visitor policy.

Villa samadhi is a gorgeous boutique place to stay. The atoms hopper is relaxed and luxurious with beautiful attention to detail. I had breakfast onsite which was very good with several healthy options. The rooms are amazing. Very impressed and I will definitely be back.

We arrived at the Villa Samadhi in the evening after a long flight from the U.K. and found ourselves in a peaceful jungle like setting in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. Sitting on loungers in reception overlooking the lagoon type pool, it was easy to begin to unwind. My partner and I had arrived in K.L., with our daughter, for a three night stay and were staying in double bedded room with a spare bed. The room, which was on the first floor, was very large, and overlooked the pool. You are surrounded by wood in this hotel and the room was no exception. There was a separate open plan toilet/shower room/dressing area with a safe and through a glazed door/wall a courtyard area with a Jacuzzi which was heated. We used the Jakuzzi several times during our stay and decided that it was an extra worth having. The door between bedroom and toilet was glazed at the top and this could probably be a privacy issue for some people sharing. There was also a kitchen. Wi-fi was provided free.
As it was late we decided to eat in the restaurant on our first night. The menu was varied, the staff attentive and friendly, and the food was very good. The wood, subdued lighting and beautiful hanging lantern lights add to the atmosphere. Breakfast was part self-service but cooked courses were to order. The pool is surrounded by lounger type beds and towels are provided for swimmers. If you would rather stay closer to the pool then maybe a poolside room would probably be the best option. When we used the pool cool drinks were provide on the side: a nice touch.
For the reasonably fit, it is walkable from Villa Samadhi to the Petronas Towers area but be aware that there is a frightening junction to cross at Julan Ampang/Julan Tun Razak crossroads. Probably better and safer to pick up a frequent taxi on Jalan Ampang.
Two small complaints: there was little information about the hotel in our bedroom. An example of this was a cocktail hour at the hotel that we only heard of by accident. Maybe a small booklet would be the solution. Also, the bedroom was a very large room but there was only one three-seater settee provided. Another chair would have enabled us to chat without being seated like three wise monkeys.
The Villa Samadhi would not be to everyone’s taste. If you are looking for a large multi-national type hotel with lots of facilities, then you’ve come to the wrong place. However if you hanker after a peaceful oasis where you can unwind and truly relax then this might just be the place for you. We will certainly be returning when we revisit K.L.

Room Tip: Decide whether you need a room right by the pool or higher up with maybe an outdoor jakuzzi

Spent 3 nights here as a part of our honeymoon.

Took a taxi from the airport, but the taxidriver had a hard time finding Villa Samadhi. There are no signs whatsoever, because it is a secret retreat. Tip if you are taking a taxi - it is close to the US embassy (behind) and next to the Libyan Embassy. Most of the traxidrivers know where the US Embassy is.

Upon arrival, Cherie - the resident manager greeted us and made us feel very welcome. They gave us something cold to drink, cold towels and some information while they were checking us in. We arrived a bit early, so we had to wait about one hour to get our room, but we relaxed by the pool were they served us carrot juice, water and fresh fruit. Perfect service! All in all the staff was very friendly.

Our room was huge - and since it was our honeymoon they had put roses on our bed. Very romantic. Perfect bed, great jacuzzi in our room, great WIFI connection. They served us cookies the first day, and everyday they served us some candy.

Breakfast was good. Order from menu and a small buffet.

Since it was our honeymoon, they gave us free laundry during our stay. Very nice of them, and much needed for us after travelling around in Asia.

We left for the airport very early (before breakfast). They had made sandwiches and fresh orange juice for take-away breakfast. Cherie, the manager was there early in the morning to say good bye to us.

If you want a special hotel in Kuala Lumpur - this is the place.

Tip: Be sure to book taxi early. We tried to book taxi in the morning for a trip to the city centre (to hot to walk). They told us that everything was full - and that the next taxi was free around 10:30 in the evening. A hotel like this should be able to call any taxi for their guests. This was a big dissapointment.

The Villa Samadhi will always hold special memories for me as it is where I proposed to my partner. Right from the beginning we were made to feel like home. The hotel is located in a quiet suburb a little away from the hustle of the city and radiates peace and quiet but is still only 20 mins walk to the city centre. As there are only 21 rooms on the premises the staff are able to treat you as family and not simply as guests or customers. Highlights during our stay: The friendliest staff ever. The staff providing us with a packed breakfast as we had an early flight to catch (I mean who does that anymore?) Rooms kept spotlessly clean Crabmeat crepes at the in-house Mandi Mandi restaurant Reliable wi-fi throughout the hotel, even near the pool area. You will be hard pressed to find another hotel like the Villa Samadhi. Make sure you take the opportunity to stay there. The hotel is not suited for children under the age of 12 so you can be assured to have a peaceful and relaxing holiday with your loved one.
