This is a lovely hotel with charming staff, lovely rooms and a beautiful swimming pool.
Easy walk to KLCC and from there through the park to the Petronas Towers and Suria Shopping Centre
It will be our first choice in KL

Room Tip: Floor 5 has the club rooms with large lounges, large bathroom and dressing area

The minute we arrived we were knocked-out by the beautiful design and decor of this palatial hotel. We were told it was designed as a Malay royal residence would be, hence the opulent soft furnishings and heavily-carved screens. Our suite was exceptional, consisting of: huge living area with white leather suite and flat-screen TV, balcony overlooking the pool, kitchen/ dining room divided off by the heavy, carved wooden screens, massive and very comfortable bed, dressing-room and luxurious bathroom. We couldn't have asked for more. The staff were just wonderful, nothing was too much trouble. Our whole stay was completely stress-free, we spent inordinate amounts of time lounging by the pool and admiring the views of the Petronas Towers (we did drag ourselves away from the hotel once, to see them close up!) We ate every night at the hotel, since there were 4 restaurants each as good as the next, and the breakfast buffet offered everything you could want from sushi and curry to patisseries and pancakes. Would so love to go back! Would recommend it as a honeymoon destination as despite the size of the hotel you never feel crowded.

Room Tip: Suites are the ultimate in luxury and not expensive by UK standards.

Stayed there for 5 nights, it was a great place to be, rooms are very clean, daily service was excellent, variety of restaurants and food, check in and out was fast and friendly. It was not far from the center of town and a walking distance from great shopping but in the same time it was very quiet. Did have a problem with my luggage and the concierge desk helped a lot to solve it.

If you are visiting Kuala Lumpur and you need a taxi to your hotel visit the airport taxi stand, you will get a clean car with a very good rate, even cheaper if you are going to the center than the express train then a taxi.

Finally KL is a great city to visit and the people there are extremely friendly. Enjoy.

Room Tip: Try the club rooms, they do have great rates if you do your research.

Stayed for a week, ideal location, close to shopping centres and plenty of places to eat out. Breakfast was excellent, room and beds very comfortable. Always clean, well serviced, staff all very pleasant and accommodating. Would definitely stay here again.

Stayed here for 2 nights recently. It certainly does not feel like a 5 star hotel; the lobby area is haphazard and there is a very odd central atrium where breakfast is held. (Adequate breakfast but why would you eat hotel fare when you can walk out the back of the hotel to much better local food in the coffee shops there?) The rooms were unremarkable and the noise in the evening from 7pm till midnight was nigh intolerable from the loud band playing in the aforementioned atrium which pervaded throughout the hotel...not ideal after a day's work!
Location though ostensibly near to the Bukit Bintang shopping etc still necessitated a 15 minute walk in the tropical sun..one of those awkward distances where it's kind of near to take a taxi and yet far enough to be unfortable in the heat.
Overall...you can do much better in KL where hotels are well priced..

Fabulous hotel. Beautiful, spacious room, fantastic breakfast and dinner buffet. Outstanding staff, warm and friendly esp to children. We only had 2 nts there but can't wait to go back. One word of advice, use city taxis, the cabs at the hotel are alot more expensive.

Old colonial charm in this fantastic hotel - staff were wonderful. The bed was huge and very comfortable - the rooms were very clean. Buffet breakfast and dinner was exceptional - the variety was the best I have ever seen and the staff all lovely. Excellent location, close to Bukit Bintang. Love this hotel!
