“Expo was great!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 12, 2012

Been in Shanghai during any world class event is like joining the festival! Millions of people but orderly system. Well managed traffic. Only China can do such arrangements !
Marvelous.
note: Visit date is wrong, I was there in Aug 2010.

“Had expected a bit more frankly”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 29, 2012

Location was good for me.
First time I've used Marriott I usually use Shangri-la Pudong.
Staff were friendly helpful but thats what one expects - no one went above and beyond.
Lounge had some painting going on as well as filming.
I was being interviewed for three hours by 3 different journalists.
The thinner paint smell really upset the ambience.
Was only offered a beverage once when I sat down, we never saw the staff again.
Club lounge was pragmatic, efficient but very ordinary food and beverage offerings, nuts and bolts stuff - adequate.
The TTG Awards dinner was much better than I had expected in terms of food and AV sound equipment.

“Best Shanghai Steamed dumplings in KL”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2012

Clean, well serviced Chinese/Shanghainese restaurant with probably the best Steamed Shanghainese dumplings in town (steamed dumplings with soup inside the dumpling).
Real authentic Shanghainese cuisines.
Only downside- rather pricy.

“Good Chinese food in authentic setting”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2011

I had dinner here with colleagues and found the experience comparable to a good restaurant in Shanghai. The food was tasty and well presented. The service was as you receive in nice restaurants in China so it lives up to and represents its namesake well.
The stand out of the meal was the gow gee. These were fantastic and a must for any meal here! If you struggle navigating malls like I do it may be a challenge to locate.

“Broad menu, authentic food and decent service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2011

Have visited several times and never been disappointed. A nicely adorned place. The quality of the lunchtime dim sum has always been commented favourably upon by my Chinese colleagues, which has to be a good sign and the staff are friendly and attentive. Gets a bit busy on occasions which again, is a good sign so reservations recommended. Not the cheapest Chinese restaurant in the area by any means but worth the money.
