Only one night spent here, wish we had more time. Wonderful Portuguese decorated hotel, old fashioned lifts, quaint lobby decor, courtyard area for breakfast and French style restaurant. Absolutely loved our stay and surrounds. Breakfast was a mixture of western/Japanese with enough to choose from. Don't eat inside but ask to sit in the courtyard, cobbled stones, fresh air.
Dinner in the restaurant was on the pricey side but was a little luxury we afforded for the atmosphere of the place. Lovely food and service.
We came in from Nagasaki Train Station and purchased a day pass, from the Information Centre at the station, for the trams. It took two trams to get to the hotel, could see it when we disembarked. Tram system very easy to use, make sure you get a tram map, and used them to visit Peace Park, Museum and the Ropeway. Used the trams to return to station the next day rather than a taxi because of the ease of use.
