“Nice stay”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2012

Being a 10 minute walk from the train station and across the road from the tram stop, needed to catch the tram to Nagasaki peace park and atomic bomb museum. Staff were friendly and helpful giving us local maps and helping with directions. The Chisun had that well decorated boutique hotel feel to it, but was one of the cheapest options in the area we found. Rooms comfortable with kettle and fridge.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 20, 2012

I stayed at the Chisun Grand Nagasaki for one night at the beginning of this month after staying at a regular Chisun the night before. The Grand is definitely a lot more grand than the regular hotel. The hotel was within a 2-3 minute walk from Gotomachi tram stop. You could also walk there from Nagasaki station if you don't mind lugging your suitcase for 800m.

Although check in wasn't until 3pm, we were able to get our room by 2pm. The room was big for Japan and had a separate toilet and bathtub area. The bathtub room had a bathtub and the traditional Japanese stool and washboard for you to sit on.

The hotel was amazing in every aspect, but my only complaint was that there was only wifi in the lobby (as with most Japanese hotels).

The room was clean, sufficiently large by Japan standards and situated centrally. It would have been nice if there was a shower curtain . The separate location of bath , toilet and wash basin was very handy.

This hotel is a good business hotel. Their double room is suitable for single occupation or for a one-night stay only for couples.
This hotel is priced higher than its actual value, especially during peak season.
It can only be recommended for a single business man or woman.

This hotel was incredibly cheap and the room was much bigger than most of the hotels we stayed in during this trip to Japan. Would recommend.

this hotel has a superb location right next to the harbour, but the rooms are very small. Book a twin room rather than the double and then you won't have to crawl over your partner to go to the loo in the night. I did complain about the smell of smoke in the room as it was supposed to be non-smoking and was handed the Japanese equivalent of febreeze. There are no spaces for hanging clothes or storing your belongings, so you are constantly tripping over your suitcases. There is only the location that saves this and the fact it is close to Starbucks for a Western-style breakfast.

Stylish room , if on the small side, wouldn't want to spend more than a few nights as no drawer space and little hanging space but ideal for sightseeing. Within walking distance of Dejima and easy access to transport. Nice to have separate toilet and bathroom, comfortable bed, quiet rooms. Plenty of places to eat nearby. Stayed at Chisun Inns, hotels and this Grand hotel during my time in Japan and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them, as always staff helpful and courteous.
