In my trip to Japan in the summer 2012 I booked (in advance of many months) this hotel, convinced by the good mean judgment of the contributors to TripAdvisor. The price of about € 206 (two rooms for two nights, then four rooms) and the rank of the hotel (two stars), however, made me a bit 'dubious: about 50 euro per night for a double room is a price that hardly exists for a good hotel in any major European city (and Osaka is a huge city).
Instead, our stay was pleasant. The formula to keep the price low is first of all (I suppose) the economy on the cost of reception service: after the first entry, you will receive a badge to open yourself the automatic door of the hotel at any time.
In the room you have the kitchen (very useful), and you may choice the "western" bed or the futon. The bathroom is a block of plastic, earthquake-proof (as often in Japan), functional and clean.
The location is very central, although a little secluded (at our arrival from the JR Osaka station, the taxi driver had a little difficulty to find the hotel). However, the hotel is at fourty meters from the station "Higobashi" on Yotsubashi line of the metro. At a walking distance there is also the station "Kita-Shinchi" of a JR line.
In the district there are some nice restaurants (but avoid the small fast-food that is nearby!); a Family Mart open all night is just across the street.
For those who want to have a decent housing (and very central) in Osaka, spending a little, this hotel is ideal.
