osaka was our first stop in japan and when we arrived in the namba area at night, we discovered the hotel wasn't just an easy two minutes from the subway station, as indicated on their web site. folks we asked for directions didn't know where it was either, and google map/earth weren't much help. we finally found it by chance but the hotel seriously needs to think about putting more detailed instructions on how to find it on its web site. osaka is a confusing maze of streets, many with no signs, so directions with landmarks would be a great help.
once we got to the hotel, though, everything was just peachy. the staff was helpful and spoke english, the hotel lobby was modern and stylish, and the location was excellent...close to lots of eateries, shopping arcades and, yes, the subway station. as expected, our room was small by western standards but my husband and i found it quite cozy. plus, they are very efficient and make great use of the small space. this is a nice little gem to consider for an osaka stay, if you can find it!
