This area is a major rail intersection point and the underground mall linking the rail lines is a boggling maze of shops, restaurants and everything in between. Most of the major department stores like Daimaru are around here. Everybody seems to be on the move, I found it was actually hard to find someplace to sit to rest, except to go into a bistro to have a drink.
Above ground, the throng is just as bustling and lively with plenty of shops which cater more to the young. The Shinsaibashi shopping arcade and Dotonburi are all around this area. I visited a sports store which spanned 7 floors and probably has everything related to sports or outdoors. Just amazing. Come taste the essence of Osaka here.
