Initially had some difficulties finding the way to the hotel, because we, girls, did not want to carry our heavy luggage up the stairs (exit E5). So we went all the way to the elevator near muji and walked back. Later, we found out that the easiest/quickest way from subway is to enter the takashimaya and took the elevator/escalator to ground floor, exit and cross the road to some sheltered shopping street which leads to the hotel (just look out for mcdonalds). It took us less than 5 minutes to reach the subway with our luggage.
The hotel is good value for money. Its room is the 3rd biggest in our japan trip. If I remember correctly, this hotel provided 2 types of pillows, soft and hard. The bathroom is quite big (2nd biggest hotel toilet during our trip. First is Tokyo Disneyland hotel). Absolutely no complaint about the room. I had rented wifi device for this trip, so did not notice if this hotel provide free wifi. We did not include breakfast during our stay but had it at a nice café opposite Kuromon Ichiba.
It's about 15 minutes walk to otaroad/den den town. Less than 10 minutes to dotonbori/shinsaibashi shopping arcade, not to mention takashimaya and the underground shopping arcade. There's a 24hr convenience store nearby, bought Osaka food and non edible souvenirs from a shop opposite of the hotel. There's a drugstore selling beauty and other necessities right at the corner.
The only negative is that this is far from the JR-Namba station. Must walk around 20 minutes. So do give some time for walking and getting lost in the underground maze (my google map gps did not work well in the underground), if you are going to use the JR Pass to go to the airport. And also give some time for getting in the right train but wrong carriage which we did because the train would spilt into 2 with the front few carriages going to the airport and back few to some other stations. We were lucky to spot the mistake and dropped off at the right station to wait for the next train to airport and managed to reach with half an hour to spare.
I would book this hotel again the next time I go to namba. Do go in july for the summer sale!
