“Nice decor and convenient location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2013

The location is very convenient. The size of the room is large compared to other hotels. I was also able to soak in the bathtub for a relaxing bath with all kinds of bath relaxing supplements.

Subway is around the corner and if you want to go for a run, you run along the bridge and go to the Castle and back.

Room Tip: Pick high rooms so you can see the beautiful Osaka city.

This is a place that is unquestionably up to Crowne Plaza standards and yet it was offered at a very reasonable price. I chose this hotel partly because I am a Platinum ICH member but also because of the attractive pricing. The location is quite favorable as it is located in Kita-ku, one of Osaka's busiest areas. That means that there are a plethora of choices for restaurants and other attractions to which one can walk or are a quick taxi or subway ride away. I arrived in town at Shin-Osaka station and took a taxi for about 1750 yen to the hotel. For the purpose of getting to this hotel, it would be better to arrive at Osaka station as it is much closer. There is also a subway stop that is reasonably close if you are traveling light. When I arrived, I found the front desk staff to be efficient and the check in procedure was easy and painless. The bellboy who escorted me to my room was very helpful with advice and directions. The room was very clean and reasonably spacious, especially compared to other Japanese hotels. The amenities were generally good though I lost WiFi connection briefly a couple of times. The only small complaint was that I was disappointed to find no ironing board in the room. That is something that US-based multinational brands sometimes uniquely offer in Japan. This was originally an ANA Hotel (Japanese brand), however, so that arrangement could be a carry-over. I chose the room rate that included breakfast and was quite happy that I did so. There were two choices of restaurants for breakfast, one of which offered a Western-style buffet and another that featured a Japanese breakfast. I selected the former and was very happy with the quality of the choices they presented. There was no airport-bound bus that stopped at this hotel but there was a shuttle that ran regularly to the Herbis hotel which did have a stop for the bus bound for Kansai. This was adequately convenient though I did have to make sure I accommodated both the shuttle and the bus schedule to make my flight in time. In all, I found this hotel more than satisfactory and a good bargain. I will consider staying here again when the occasion arises.

Ana crown plaza was a nice hotel, but very small rooms, hardly any space to move around. However the said inconvenience was compensated with luxurious toiletries..extremely good tea packs and good beds.

The toiletries provided, made me feel like i was in a spa..Bath powder...superb tea...aroma shampoo, and aroma therary based body wash....what more can you expect, after a hectic in office.

If you are a non vegetarian, there are plenty to eat. However, since i am a vegetarian, i had to walk some distance to find something to eat.

The place is awesome. When in Osaka, do not miss to go to Kyoto, the historical buildings of Japan emperors. The beauty is unexplainable. You must visit to feel it and to fall in love with the place.

Room Tip: November and december the ideal season to visit, however, it would be a bit cold( as there is a rive...

Having been to Japan many times, I've set my expectation on the quality and room size of the hotel. ANA Crown Plaza Hotel was no exception. I enjoyed my stay. The hotel bus to the train station was convenient and work according to schedule. So if you need to have a nice cozy place to stay, this is one hotel I would recommend.

Room Tip: First time staying here so no tips available.

I arrived Osaka (KIX) from Singapore via SQ flight. I took AIrport Limo (Bus) to the town which i feel is very convenient way to reach city. I disembarked at Umeda. Though the hotel is walking distance from Umeda, since it was getting late i hired a cab.
Reception was a breeze with front desk staff working like a well oiled machine. After check-in, time to go to the hotel. Room was decent size. Mattress was very comfortable. There was pillow menu. There was something unique I found in the room - a sleeping mask. You put it on your face and it heats up, apparently good for sleep. There were good drapes to keep light away while you sleep. Rooms offered good insulation against noise.
The breakfast was not included in the room rate and it was pricey, considering i do not eat heavy breakfast. There are lots of small shops around from where i grabbed a coffee and a bun,
It would further enhace the value proportion if hotel includes breakfast in the room plan.

I recently spent seven days at this hotel. The reception staff are very friendly and helpful. The cleanliness of the room and public areas was first rate. The manager is to be commended for ensuring such high standards in a busy hotel. I would have no hesitation in staying there in future.

Room Tip: Very good business suite.

I recently stayed at the ANA Crowne Plaza hotel in Osaka for business and found it very accommodating. If you fly into Osaka's Kensei Airport (KIX), you can either get to the city through the efficient train service or limousine bus. Both are very affordable, and drop you off in one of the two prime locations in the city, Kita. The train drops you off at Osaka Station and the bus at Herbis Plaza. Both are about a ten minute walk to the ANA. The hotel itself is located on one of the rivers that cuts through the city and in a dynamic four block area filled with lots of restaurants and bars. The area was even bustling on a Monday night. I was given a room on the 23rd floor and it was fantastic . An excellent view of the south of the city as well as the river. The room was spacious, with a large bathroom and shower area. I only had breakfast once at the hotel, in the concierge lounge, and it was good. It was mostly a western based breakfast, but included some local Japanese dishes as well. I was also told that the hotel has a beer garden overlooking the river, but I never had an opportunity to experience it. If you are traveling to Osaka for business, and need to stay near Osaka Station for whatever reason, I highly recommend this hotel.
