Ok so the hotel is called superior on the outside but booking site says shin osaka hotel. Go figure!
A good 800m from the subway station (1 stop from shin osaka station)
Hotel is dated, built in 91.
Staff friendly but English poor, most of the markings in the hotel are in Japanese only.
Our room did have a great view of the city across the river and it's only a 5 min walk to the river bank. Great for a stroll at night.
The room itself was fairly small, worst thing was the aircon, didn't really work. We left a card (not room key) in the wall key holder to keep it on all day but housekeeping took it out and then took it away.
Spent half an our trying to communicate to staff what had happened.
Finally they tracked it down but not after they searched our room for it.
This was my Melbourne train pass that had credit on it so I wanted it back!.
I have to say the young guy on the desk did his best and should be commended.
This is a hotel for Japanese business travellers and I wouldn't recommend it for tourists.
Wifi was slow and the hotel smelled of smoke. Main lobby is the smokers hangout.
