“Amazing hotel in Osaka”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 27, 2014

I went to Osaka for family trip and stayed in this hotel last year. My family chose this hotel and I dun't know well about it before. After arrived, I was shocked - it's better than what I imagined.
With Japan-style politely service, me and my family felt very well in this hotel although the room was not big.
Moreover, the locationis very well since delicious food can be eaten nearby the hotel. It's a nice hotel for a family trip.

Rooms are not big, which is common in business hotels in Japan. But the place is clean and comfy. Staff at the counter are nice and they try their very best to help you. And one of them can even speak good English. The neighborhood is nice since it isn't like that in busy districts (eg Nambo). Nice cafes and restaurants around the place as well!
Will stay again in this hotel next time.

I love the onsen! for the price I am paying for the room, this is really great value!(the onsen alone cost 1600 yen per visit for outsider!)
the room is small but very clean. for solo traveller, it is enough. toilet is super small but hey, just use the onsen for all your bath.
take bus 88 from the osaka station which stop just in front of the hotel. the subway is also about 7 minutes walk away. the famous endo sushi restaurent at the fish market is within walking distance from the hotel so don't miss it.
I would definately stay here again when I visit Osaka.
BTW, choose the medium or soft pillow, the hard and high pillow are really hard to sleep on!

Super hotel in Osaka is a wonderful place to stay in. It is indeed a place I would choose to stay in Osaka if ever the opportunity arose again for me to travel in Japan.

Good points
Allow me to start by saying Super hotel in Osaka is located in a perfect place from the major train station. Located within 15 minutes of walking from the Tennoji train station, it is a breeze to know that all your loot from shopping would not be needing to be carried too far away from your hotel. If you are bringing large luggage around, this may pose a little of a challenge as the road leading up to Super hotel is cobble stones and uphill, so take extra care while moving up to get to the hotel.

Breakfast in Super Hotel is more than you could need. With some careful care needed, you would probably be able to find a seat. Breakfast is served in a buffet style so you would be getting a hearty breakfast before setting off for your day activities.

Onsen in Super Hotel is a must try if you have the time, just be mindful of the timings required for the different genders. This can be found on the front desk where it is displayed. The timings are strictly enforced to ensure no gender conflicts arise. So if you wish to take a Onsen bath, be mindful of how much time you have left.

The wifi in the lobby is decently fast, it allows you to download apps, emails, and allow you to chat with your loved ones back home using whatsapp easily. Definitely a plus point in my books. Simply ask for the password from the front desk and you are connected.

There are many friendly staff manning the hotel. Very polite to any guest residing in the hotel, they always try to ensure that you are comfortable and all your needs are met. They are able to speak a multitude of languages. While my stay, I could hear a mix of Japanese, English and Mandarin being spoken to the various guest. Undoubtedly, if you spoke Japanese, you tend to get better service as with all Japan.

I loved how Super Hotel had a small selection of pillows which allows you to choose. They value your rest and they make an extra mile to ensure that the pillow you use is suited for your preference. Take caution as these pillows run out fast. If you're lucky enough to grab one, don't wait! Take it as throw it in your room before you set off. I guarantee you, almost no pillows will be left when you return from your long day.

Upon entering the room, its good enough for a couple, or solo. I believe three in a room would be pushing it. (Why would you have 3 in the room anyway?) The bed is soft and comfy, always inviting you for a good night sleep. The window is another way of ensuring ventilation as I left it ajar to allow some cold spring air to enter while having the heater switched on. Perfect combination. They further provided me with an additional blanket to ensure if I was too cold, please use it. Another good touch which makes you feel valued.

Power plugs are found on your desk with an amazing variety. Being able to charge any mobile devices from iPhone to Samsung is a very very good touch. I do know many friends who forget to bring their mobile phone chargers and then resort having to buy one while in country. Not for Super Hotel, they allow you to charge your mobile devices and connect to the internet using their cables. That gives me 2 big pluses in book.

Probably the only down side for this wonderful hotel would be that the showers are a little small and if you are a little on the big side, it could prove difficult to maneuver around the shower place and washroom. Even so, it is Japan when space is a constraint so I understand.

I would highly recommend anyone traveling to the Osaka region to take their stay in Super Hotel and you would not regret it one bit. My only request would be to stay in the even numbers of the hotel, the rooms are slightly bigger. Not by very much, but even bit counts.

The ratings for this hotel are higher than others and justifiably so! The staff is courteous, and you receive a welcome package upon arrival. The room is small (as is the case for many Japanese hotels) so don’t expect anything spacious. Everything is compact and efficient. The best part about staying here was the onsen. What a relaxing bathing experience!

If you haven’t had the Japanese onsen experience, definitely give it a try here. Be sure to read all the rules and instructions (don’t wear slippers into bath area, be sure to rinse off completely before entering bath, etiquette, etc…). Afterwards, you will feel extremely relaxed.

The breakfast buffet is good as well. There are plenty of local restaurants around the corner, frequented by local / businessmen, which I often take as a good sign (vs. overly touristic neighborhoods). You’re just 3-4 stops from Osaka Castle as well.

Highly recommend it and would stay here again!

Near a subway station, clean room, a breakfast that's enough to start the day. Very welcoming staff at the front desk though English is quite hard which is fine. they give you option to have late check out just for a couple of dollars. For those who will be staying here, if coming from Subway - Awaza station, look for Exit 9. It's just a couple of minutes walk from there (plus you'll see a billboard too in the building infront). Will stay here again.

This hotel has a great onsen on site. It is well maintained and sufficient for use. We find it is a good way to relax after a long day of walk. It is a "must try" if you go to this hotel.

Other than the onsen, the hotel is clean. Service is good. The reception's English is not the best I saw in Japan but they are willing to help out.

Room is pretty small. But I don't care as I only need a good night of sleep. The hotel is in a quiet corner. Therefore, I never have a problem with this.

Honestly, the hotel is not "super" accessible from the subway as you need to walk for about ten minutes from the Awaza station. There is a trick to save a few steps. Awaza station is at the intersection of Sennichimae Line and Chuo Line. Please plan your subway trips to use Sennichiae Line as much as possible because it is closer to the hotel. You will find this tip useful when you are travelling with luggage or your shopping bags to the hotel.
