This hotel stands right next to the train and bus stations so is the perfect stopover when traveling by public transportation. The reception staff speak good English and are friendly and helpful. Construction work is currently going on day and night at the railroad station so I recommend requesting a room away from the station, which we did, to ensure a quiet stay.
Our clean, twin-bedded room, where we spent one night, looked like it had been remodeled recently with new carpeting and wallpaper. The lighting was excellent and the beds were comfortable. We got one English-language station (CNN) on the small TV. Slippers, bathrobes and a water boiler for tea/coffee were provided. The room included a small sofa and coffee table plus a desk area. Our bathroom proved to be rather small with a very low sink/counter area, but it presented no problems for us.
Though the hotel offers wired Internet, there is no wi-fi in the rooms. The hotel also fails to offer a business center.
This is definitely not a modern hotel but it has been maintained nicely and offers extras, such as a choice of restaurants. We ate dinner in the coffee shop, experienced major communication problems and considered the food mediocre at best. Breakfast did not come with our room, so we opted to eat at a Starbucks, about a 5-minute walk away.
