Recommended by our hostel, this is a good sized sushi train located in the Kyoto Station 'Atsy Road' complex. All dishes are 137yen (which is about AU$1.50), way cheaper then anything you'd get back home.
They serve a great variety of sushi nigiri and rolls as well as the most delicious clam miso soup. Plates come either with or without wasabi, and plates can also be made to order. Pints of beer are 500yen and a great side to all the dishes.
It's a traditional Japanese sushi train, so you won't find the usual western sushi train dishes such as goyaza, karage or edamame, but you won't need them.
The fish is super tasty, rice super fresh and the sushi chefs enjoy interacting with the customers.
In peak periods there might be a short wait for a seat but its well worth it :-)
