Stayed for 4 nights, room might be a tad tight for 3 of us but it sufficed.
Clean rooms although they would open the windows after cleaning, making the room a little dusty with some insects.
Reception being a couple minutes walk away is a small inconvenience. Anyone complaining should be aware of the price you're paying. Perfectly happy with this especially when it is cost effective for them as that reception serves more than 1 ryokan/guest house.
Friendly staff. Very helpful and approachable.
Bicycles are not in the best shape. My tires were partially deflated, I had to go into a bike shop to have them pumped. Friend's bike's chains came loose on more than 3 occasions. The newer bikes at 100 yen more work like a charm but.
About 10 to 15min walk from Kyoto Station. Easy landmarks to navigate.
The bad : Level 4's shower lacks hot water facilities, dryer takes 2 hours to dry a full load.
