The hotel has been recently renovated and it looks really nice. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. They do mention a curfew, i believe it is 1 am, but we talked to the person at the front desk and he told us not to worry about it, just to call him so he can open the door. The staff was very sweet and welcoming, and they do have one person that speaks English and will be able to help you. Nothing beats the location! Within walking distance of the Gion district, seven eleven (for atms that take US cards), the starbucks with the best view ever (glass wall looks to a temple) and very close several bus stops for sight seeing. They also have traditional japanese bath facilities in the basement, they are accessible to men or women at different times of the day, so make sure to inquire about the schedule to make sure to fit it in your itinerary. Highly recommended!
