We spent 3 nights here and thought it was very good. Our room was a good size, clean and well appointed. The location is great, a few minutes walk from the Metro station and only 3 stops away from Kyoto main station. There are so many restaurants within walking distance that it was difficult to choose which one to eat at but its fair to say that we did not have a bad meal anywhere in Japan. Starbucks is 2 minutes walk down the road and we had breakfast there each day. It was nice to get a big coffee before we started visiting the many wonderful temples and gardens.
The staff at the hotel were very helpful. We bought a 2 day Metro Pass at the hotel which made travelling around the city very easy. We also bought stamps for postcards which they posted for us. On our one rainy day they loaned us umbrellas.
We plan to return to Kyoto next year and will probably book this hotel again.
