We stayed in this hotel because of its proximity to lively Kyoto Station , the metro to the convention center, and its price. When we got there, having traveled in Japan for a week, we begged for the biggest room they had - as we realized that business hotel rooms might be painfully small. We had a huge handicapped room with a large bath, excellent for doing laundry... No. 508. ( about US$150)There was plenty of room for twin beds, a small closet, and another hanging space, plus an el for the desk area. Everything worked well, we had lovely clean sheets every day, and fresh yukata robes. The place was spotless. The desk staff could not have been more helpful and their English was pretty good. We did not ever have the hotel breakfast, preferring to try the Gran Via, Hyatt, and Rhiga Royal buffets, which were all excellent. and pricey (averaging US$25 apiece) Breakfast is the one meal where we missed American food, though Japanese breakfasts are i usually nteresting and well done. There are good convenience stores nearby and a huge BIC electronics store, not to mention terrific restaurants at Isetan Department Store. (dinners were cheaper than breakfast)
