We stayed here for five days. The rooms were small, as Japanese rooms tend to be. However, they certainly didn't lack in amenities: the bathroom was fully stocked, there was a TV and tea making facilities as well as a fridge, and the usual air con, radio, alarm clock etc. The room was very clean and functional, as you expect rooms in this chain to be. A nice European breakfast is included (lovely coffee, orange juice, and a selection of breads, which were great). If you can't afford the Shin Kobe Oriental stay here instead - you are just a few minutes away. It's a 20-minute walk into town ( I fell into the ditch on the way back one night, but that was more to do with the tail end of the typhoon!). There are buses too, but the walk is fun. And all of this for the princely sum of 5,800 yen per night all up - in UK that's less than £30 a night B+B in our case for two people: I never thought I would get a hotel in Japan at that price (try getting it in Ireland...)
The staff have great English, and joy of joys, there was wireless broadband throughout the hotel (especially good as most UK phones won't work in Japan).
Cracking value, and a nice location
