I have been here several times and have always liked the "lunch set" meals. The food changes weekly so I can't recommend specific dishes beyond ordering their lunch set. The miso soup is delicious and comes with the set. The "genmai" rice (brown rice) also compliments the main dish. There is usually a small salad, a couple veggie side dishes and then a main dish. It's always tasty.
It's out of the way for day-trip tourists but worth a look if you are returning to Kobe or looking for something different and off the beaten path. The Okamoto shopping street is pretty unique and a great place to explore.
The restaurant is beyond the shopping street to the east. It's a few minutes beyond the end of the line of cafes and shops. You have to walk past a small school with a green paved street in front of it and then it is just a little further.
It's a tiny cafe but I'm always lucky and never have to wait to be seated.
Definitely give it a try.
