“Good value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 4, 2013

Stayed for 2 nights (~AU65/night through hotels.com)

Good:
- walking distance to the Peace Park, close to downtown (make use of the Maple Loop bus if you have a JR pass)

Not so good:
- room slightly small
- wired internet only

Location good, cheaply priced hotel for Japan but just so small, smoky smell, rooms not great for two people! Air con didnt work and not allowed to open windows! Rooms were too warm, steam from bathroom made whole room fill of steam and damp and was condensation dripping off windows!
Wouldn't stay there again!
But hiroshima lovely city and worth a visit and enjoyed our stay despite hotel

We stayed for two nights in this hotel in Hiroshima. Well placed for all the fun stuff that Hiroshima has to offer and within walking distance of the more sobering areas which I believe all foreign visitors to Japan need to experience. Good value, would recommend.

This hotel is very good value for money. Although the rooms themselves are basic and on the smaller size (noting Japanese hotel rooms are already small), the hotel's price, location and services included make this a good choice.
The rooms have all the usual toiletries and whilst let down slightly by the awful dark brown bedspreads, they are clean, neat and relatively modern. One thing to note is that there is no Internet in the rooms. The Chisun is however set up for guests to use Internet in the large communal lounge area which also included free drinks, cola, tea and coffee as well as snacks. It was actually quite nice to use this space, rather than be confined to our room.
Breakfast was also included which is unusual for a hotel in this price range. Nothing special; eggs, miso, noodles, hot dog(!) buffet, but useful for us budget travellers.
There is also a free laundry, though try and use this before the 8pm rush.
Location is great. Very near A Dome and a 5 min walk from the central shopping arcade and recommended restaurants. Ideal.
Finally, reception is polite and helpful but speaks limited English.

Good honest easy to find hotel. Easy to get to the train on the tram line or to the A-bomb dome.

Dryer in the laundry was very inefficient. Travelling with children this was a bit of a pain.

Highly recommended. Family Mart next door and lots of food around

Just another business hotel. Same sort of room like everywhere, with everything you need.
Most basic double rooms are just a bit smaller than a standard double and a twin is slightly bigger even.
Can find very decent deals on internet. We had our double very cheap (for western standards).
Location is great! Walkable from the trainstation, tramstop in front of hotel, loads of restaurants and bars close and easy acces to sightseeingspots!
No wifi in room, BUT if you ask at the reception they provide a free router you can plug in in your room!
Friendly and helpfull staff (but what else is new in Japan).

Basic clean business hotel, includes all you need at a reasonable price. The rooms are fine for a one night stay, especially as their is easy access from the hotel to many restaurants and the main tourist destinations.
