“A touching tribute”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 27, 2012

There are constant and everchanging displays of paper cranes around the statue in the same sentiment as her classmates, who finished off the rest of the 1000 cranes for Sadako Sasaki, who died of leukaemia more than 10 years after the bombing, while trying to make 1000 paper cranes after her death.

“Stop here and find out what it's about”

to me - the pinacle of this park and the message
almost make an "old fella" want to start making paper cranes

“sad”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2012

it's hard for all not to crie, we can read the litle girl history, Sadako Sasako without thinking about war and peace.

“Children's Peace Monument”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2012

This was a delightful and moving place to visit and if you have any children a must see. We spent some time there just thinking about the stories of the children who were effected by the bomb.

“Terribly sad”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 2, 2012

Very simple monument to remember those children that died on that fateful day. Another site held in great respect by locals who often ring the bell that you can hear as you walk around the park. A focal point or the many school parties visiting the site.
