The hotel is indeed outdated and definitely needs a make over. The rooms are small and the staff does not understand english. Having a conversation is not possible. Never the less it was a perfectly fine hotel! The price is ok and the breakfast room is on the 15th floor with a wonderful view of the peace park! I would definitely go there again and also recommend it to friends!

You don't need a fancy hotel. You just need a comfortable place to rest, since you're mostly out exploring the place. This one has a perfect location since its very near the Hiroshima Park. Its a big comfort that the hotel is right in front of you after a long walk in the park. Its value for money plus they have free WiFi.

Great location - 1 minute from the peace park & tram stop, 10 minutes from entertainment district. Rooms and restaurant overlooking the park and A-bomb dome.
The room size is good, for Japanese standard. The hotel is clearly outdated, and cries for renovation - but for now, it is an excellent deal ( we paid ~230$ for 3 nights for a couple, excluding breakfast - which cost an additional ~1100 yen pet person and contains a lot of different options).

The hotel is visible from the tram stop and right alongside the river accross the street from the Peace Memorial Park. It also had a wonderful and inexpensive noodle shop (not the typical ramen soup but dry noodles in spicy sauce) in the alley way behind the hotel that was so delicious. (It is the first restaurant you'll see with flags outside the entrance) The lobby has free wifi however our hotel room was drab and smelled a hint of smoke even though we asked for non-smoking. They could not change rooms for us since it was full. We only stayed there one night so it was fine... I thought the bed was comfortable and bathroom fairly good size but that's about it. I loved this city and could have easliy stayed another night (different hotel) and thought it was a comfortable place without so much crowds yet plenty to see, and great eating experiences. We went to Miyajima for one full day which is a must do and spent our remaining time visiting the Peace Museum and adjacent park.
