“Good hotel and location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 16, 2014

I travelled from Shinjuku to Hiroshima by bullet train. As it was winter, I was glad I need not brave the cold when I arrived at the station because it was connected directly to the hotel.
The room was comfortable even though it was small. There was lack of English-speaking TV channels.

Perfect located. When you travel by train, use Granvia hotels. A little more expensive then other hotels but so easy when you have a suitcase with you.
Rooms large with a nice view over Hiroshima. (when you are lucky) From the hotel we walked (it’s a long walk) to the A Bomb dome. (also easy access by busses and Taxi’s in front of the hotel) breakfast and diner just around the corner in all different price ranges.

Look no further. This is the hotel to stay for a short trip to Hiroshima. The location of the hotel within the JR train complex is unbeatable. Save time, save money (transfers not required). The JR loop bus (free for JR pass holders) stops right in front of the hotel. It brought us conveniently to the Atomic Bomb Site as well as the town centre. Most trams also end up at the station, so it was very easy for us to move around. The second best thing was that there were lots of dining options and convenience stores within the hotel-train complex.

Service was commendable. We asked for an extra bed during our on-line booking, and the room was ready with the extra bed when we arrived. All the essentials (towels, yukatas, toothbrushes etc) were in threes. Check-in and check-out was quick. There was no safe deposit box in the room, but you could keep your valuables at the reception. One thing lacking was the availability of English-speaking channels on TV. Also, they provided only green tea sachets for making beverages in the room. But these were small matters. Overall, a really fabulous stay here.

The hotel is located right next to Hiroshima station. The room was large with decent set of amenities, more than usual for a Japanese business hotel. Breakfast was very good with a very large spread of both continental and Japanese selection. Will definitely like to stay here again.

My sister and I stayed here for three nights in a room with two beds on the 10th floor. The staff was very courteous and friendly. The English translation map of Hiroshima was a life saver. The hotel accommodations were superb and the main bar The May Flower was amazing. If you have a little extra time and money I cannot recommend any other hotel than this one for the location. You can literally reach every major tourist attraction within an hour from here, as well as the super convenient connection to the Hiroshima station. We arrived late at night via the Shinkansen and I was very thankful to be in such proximity.

Room Tip: The hotel is undergoing construction until sometime in February, but I did not notice any noise.

This hotel is located practically at the doorstep of the shinkansen exit. It is very convenient especially for weekend stays because of the maple loop bus that stops just outside the hotel. You can use it to visit practically every attraction in the city, such as the Peace Memorial Park and the Hiroshima Castle. Service was efficient and helpful. Checking in and out was a breeze. English, though not perfect, was excellent in comparison to other Japanese hotels outside of Tokyo. I highly recommend this hotel.

We spent two nights at this hotel and found it to be very good value with great service and very comfortable rooms. Dining there was also a highlight of our trip to Japan and we highly recommend this establishment to any travellers to the region.

Room Tip: Higher floors for the views
