“Brilliant location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 6, 2013

We stayed in this Hotel in June. Very comfortable, buffet breakfast was good, rooms a little on the small side as is the bathroom but this is standard in Japan. WiFi in rooms cost us $5 - AUD per day. Fantastic location to get everywhere. Located right on the JR Train line but did not notice the train noise at all. Macdonalds is in the train station as is many other eateries and resturants. There is also a liquor shop and grocery store there as well. A massage clinic is also in the group of shops at approx. $1AUD per minute.
On the roof is a Mediterean Resturant that offers an all you can eat buffet and all you can drink including alcohol beer wine and spirits from 5.30pm till 10pm. The food was only average but it did include beef steak on the BBQ. Fantastic value at only $32 AUD.
No tea, coffee or milk is available in your room. Only Japanese tea. Electric kettle and fridge is in the room.
Travel tips whilst in Hiroshima.
1. Stay at least 2 days.
2. Don't attempt to do the Peace Park, Museum etc all in one day it is information overload and you can not take it all in. Peace Park one day, Museum next day.
3. Go across to Minyjama Island on the ferry if you have a JR Rail Pass it is free if you can possibly manage to stay overnight, do it, it is a brilliant place for a layover chill out day. The little food stalls with so many different types of brilliant tasting food. The oysters are the best I have tasted in the world on average only $1 per oyster. We found a stall that BBQ in the shell with either a mornay sauce or kilpatrick sauce or they were BBQ on a skewer in garlic butter. For an oyster lover this place was died and gone to heaven. You can also ride a cable car up a mountain where the views over the island is beautiful.
4. There is a little resturant situated on the river on the east side of the bridge over to the peace park. It is an Italian Alfesco style resturant. Great place to chill out over a wine or a beer, or enjoy a coffee and enjoy some starters or a full meal. Good food and reasonable prices. Great place to take a break whilst sightseeing.
There is NO gym/fitness centre or pool in this hotel
Enjoy Hiroshima it is a beautiful place to stay

Room Tip: High floor level, away from elevators.

We stayed here 3 nights. We got a pretty great deal from the hotel's website so the price was totally acceptable. The hotel located right in front of hiroshima train station which is a HUGE advantage because you can travel to places super easily plus there are a whole lot of places to eat.. Ranging from cheap (but yummy) gyudon shop in the station (which opens early morning to late night ) to a very nice sashimi place on top of the departmentstore next ti tge station.

If i ever back to hiroshima again ... I will definitely stay here!

Ps. The airport limousine bus also stops right in front of the hotel.. Very convenient.

We decided at the last minute to go to Hiroshima. I had stayed there last year and thought it was great, and it was again this year. Last minute booking, easy check in, fantastic big room, great toilet and shower area, and close to everything. Best thing about this place is it's location.

We have been here two nights, easy to get to as part of station. Not noisy and close to tram witch takes you straight up to the peace park. Train can take you down to miyajima island or you can catch a ferry from the park. We haven't stopped here, had one of the famous pancakes in a restaurant in the train station.sat up at the cooking table and watched them being made...totally yum and don't forget the oysters...mmm

You can't get much closer to the train station than this, it's pretty much on top. As we had a lot of luggage and were only in Hiroshima for 1 night this is the sole purpose we chose this hotel. It turned out to be very comfortable and well looked after- quite a beuatiful hotel with modern furnishings. The 'bell lady' who first helped us was very good with giving directions although I'm quite sure she was waiting for a tip for her services.

The sacrifice you make by staying at this hotel is that the sights and restaurants/ bars of Hiroshima are a street car ride away. Approx a 5 min walk to the tram and then a 15-20 min ride. We were aware of that, but keep it in mind. There is no free internet. The staff were fine yet didn't have that great Japanese hospitality we felt at other places, and some had very limited English.

This is one of the best hotel I stayed in Japan though room size is not that big but really classy and comfy . Wifi is free and best is part of the train terminal , therefore is very convenient with train and metro line. Good with walking distance to tram line to A dome area and Hiroshima castle.
Will surely stay again if ever go back to Hiroshima.
Must visit Miyajima island famous for the Tori Gate, seafood and sunset.
