“Have to stay here again!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2013

We stay this hotel for the first 2 nights and the last 3 nights during our 13 days San-yao tours. This is a very good hotel, very comfortable bedroom even for family of 3 person. Good location and near most of the interesting sights!

Room Tip: Some of the rooms are under construction as the Hotel announce, but we did not hear any noise or inco...

The room was small compared to the Granvia in Kyoto but still large enough for the 2 of us. The location right next to the train station and bus terminal. Very qiet room. The bed was comfortable and the shower very good. Very clean. Convenience stores in the train station and local restaurants in the train station area. We caught the tram to the Peace Park. You walk through to the other side of the station and you will see the trams. Very easy to use. From the Peace park we walked to Castle. We also did a tour with Sunrise Tours to Miyajima Island. Pick up from the hotel so very easy. Staff very helpful and friendly.

Granvia hotel is clean hotel. Staff takes care of you. Rooms are quite small for the price you pay (120 euros/night with breakfast). No wifi connection, no coffee at room.
Coffee at night bar very expensive (950 JPY=9 euros!!!!)

Very practical hotel directly connected to railway and taxi station, but train noises during night depending side of the hotel you' re located

No swimming poll, no fitness center

The hotel was dated. Very. The welcome note about gastro outbreaks was also disconcerting. Location is great. But the staff just felt like it was a chore to do things. Rooms at least were a bit bigger than the average and the view was great.

We have just stayed at the Granvia Kyoto and was expecting the same type of hotel....no where near as good. Decor is old and well worn. If you want to watch the only English TV channel BBC for a news update - forget it. The channel makes a constant crackling noise and hotel staff said that is the best they can do. Service is no where near as good as the previous hotel. Only bonus is the location near to station.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2013

We stayed here for one night in January. The hotel is conveniently located right next to the main train station and a short walk through a subway to the tram stop. It is about a 20 minute tram ride to the Peace Park. Our room was quite spacious by Japan standards and it was clean, comfortable and quiet. I thought the price was very good value for such a nice hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel for a stay in Hiroshima.
