“By the train station”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 27, 2013

Thi hotel is conveniently located nearby the train station. The reception desk speaks very little English, they appear to be no specifically targeting at foreigners to Japan. The rooms are small, like almost always in Japan, and a bit noisy as there is a main street going to the train station in front. The breakfast buffet has also a selection for westeners, good enough to start the day. The rooms have a desk but it does not have wireless in the room, only cable connection. The hotel has the non-smoking rooms mixed with the smoker's therefore the corridors are rather smelly the room is clean though.

Staying there for two nights, two minute walk to train and electric tram to Hiroshima Bomb Museum. Few minutes straight to the museum and Peace Park, we went in the evening and spent whole next morning at the museum. Across the street to a building filled with eateries. Friendly staff, room was comfortable and quiet enough even though by the train station.

Having read some of the other reviews we must have been lucky cos we had a fantastic size room. You walked into the room which had a seperate hallway containing dresser, wardrobes, sink and seperate toilet. The other room had a massive double bed (7ft) , dresser ,tv ,couch and side chair. I was only dissapointed no sauna lol.
Our view overlooked the river to one side and the park to the other. The Hotel staff were friendly and Hotel had a great bar.
Great location. 10 minutes walk to Shukkeien gardens, a must even if you dont like gardens. another 10 minutes walk to Hiroshima Castle and the Peace Memorial park. Basically all on you doorstep.
Overall great stay, we were sorry to leave. Definately the best hotel we stayed in Japan.

Very close to Hiroshima station and streetcar stop. The staff were helpful and very courteous. The rooms were small but in no way cramped and were fitted with all amenities. Recommended for budget travel.

The location was very good as it was near the train station. We arrived Hiroshima via Shinkansen and just had to walk a few minutes to the hotel. The reception was very helpful and friendly, speak English as well. We arrived early so we left our luggage with the reception and went for lunch nearby. We also bought the 2-days pass from the reception which includes the street cars and Miyajima ropeway as we planned to go to Miyajima the next day.

The rooms was quite spacious. We stayed in the twin rooms. Toilet was very big and the beds were quite comfortable. Soap, shampoo and even facial cleanser was provided. Internet LAN connection in the bedrooms and WIFI at the reception and breakfast area. Breakfast was buffet style with western and japanese food on the 2nd floor. They had quite a variety of food and the food was quite delicious. If you have your breakfast later, you'll have to go to the ground floor to have the set breakfast instead.

One of the disadvantages of staying in a hotel near the main train station is that you can hear the trains at night. Good thing it doesn't run through the night.

Location good - close to central railway station and 24 - hours Convenio Stores around . Rooms average . Staff not friendly / helpful . Language is a problem all over Japan . Breakfast awful - very Japanese - centric and little or nothing for vegetarians . Overall , average experience .

The hotel is a 3 min walk from the train station so you don't need to get a taxi, even with luggage. Just turn right out of the station and you will hit it. The convenient location would be the main selling point and the hotel itself is clean and comfortable enough for a night. It's not a far walk into town (15 mins) or you can get the street car which runs along the main road from the station (nr the hotel) all the way to the main sights (peace park etc). You pay for your streetcar ticket when you get off.
Our room was tiny, barely bigger than the bed and you could hear the trains go past (not too loud but noticeable). The bed wasn't the comfiest but again, ok for a night.
