This hotel is well-located for your stay in Hiroshima. The hotel is on the opposite side (NE) from where you will exit. If you are craving a coffee, take the elevator to 3F and there is a Starbucks. Once you exit the station, take the underground passage and take an immediate right at the bottom of the stairs. Follow the signs for Shinkansen Plaza, which is the large taxi/bus area in front of the hotel. You will take a long underground tunnel and take the stairs on your right back to ground level. The hotel will be in front of you. You can enter the train station from the hotel side, without having to go back underground.
The rooms here are very minimalist (which is my personal preference) but very well-appointed. People often complain about a dearth of power outlets, but you won't in these rooms and they are located in just about every convenient place you can imagine. The Sleeper Bed was very comfortable and the views of Hiroshima were very nice. Toiletries were abundant and of good quality. The Wi-Fi was the fastest of any hotel I have stayed at recently. I could download a Hi-Def movie on my iPad in less than 60 minutes.
My two complaints were the room service and the pool. For the former, the prices are expensive (expected) but on top of the 10% service charge (also expected) they tack on an additional 1000 yen delivery charge. Suffice to say, I bit the bullet because I was hungry. The food was good, but the portions tended on the smaller side. If you need somewhere close to eat on the cheap, the station has lots of restaurants to choose from and there is the trusty Family Mart right next door to the hotel that is open 24/7. The second issue was the pool...they charge approx 1600 yen for the use of the pool. At any price, no one should pay to use the pool unless you are renting equipment or using lockers.
But those are minor points. The staff was very polite and helpful. The bar at Miyabi-tei on the 7th floor is a nice place for a nightcap. Streetcars to places like the Peace Park and Museum are easily accessible by streetcar on the opposite side of the train station for about 200 yen. I would absolutely stay at this property again.
The Club Lounge rooms offer the usual free Club Lounge breakfast and evening cocktails.
