This must have been the best hotel in Sapporo! I was traveling with my three children.....2 that are under 3. The first night we stayed in a double bed room. The beds were American size doubles. The couch also had a bed the size of a twin. If traveling with small children, they do not have cribs. All the rooms have a wonderful blow dryer, TV.....only CNN is in english, robes, slippers, shampoo, brushes, tooth brushes.....and other personal care stuff, a mini bar, alarm clocks and triple curtains so it stays very dark when the sun comes up at 4 am!!
The hotel is more of a business hotel from my observation. It was very clean! They have 4 restaurants there in the hotel.
We had a wonderful view of the park from the 15th floor. It was only 3 stops from Sapporo Station and two stops from Odori Park. We personally walked most of the time. There is just so much to do not far from the hotel. They also have a shuttle that goes to Sapporo Station, Odori Park, the Renaissance Hotel and one other stop that I cant remember. The bus is not always on time or will leave early!
My children are loud sleepers! So, I went down and asked about upgrading to a double room. They did it for free! So, now I had two rooms, both with double beds for the same price! We were now on the 19th floor over looking the city.
There was a park just a few min away that I took the kids to many times. They had a play area, pond with row boats, gardens and much more.
There are lots of convenient stores just a block away. So I would get grab and go hot food and snacks for the kids that I kept in the mini bar in our room. With about a 6 min walk you can walk to a post office...for an atm, or laundry mat to wash clothes. The laundry mat was not your typical laundry mat, but it got the clothes clean.
I hope to make another trip up to Sapporo and I will stay here again!!!
