The Ramada is right in the middle of Susukino, the entertainment district in Sapporo. This used to be the Sunflower Hotel, in which I stayed 2 years ago. I thought I might give the Ramada a chance as I read it was completely renewed. Unfortunately I didnt see much change except on my bill.
The room is standard Japanese business Hotel size about 10m2 for a single room. This is no problem for me as I stay in similar hotels all the time in Japan. However they they put a resort style price tag to it. Where as normally for a similar room you pay about 8000Yen, Ramada advertised 8.400Yen but their website didnt mention the would add tax and service charge (this is uncommon for a Japanese business hotel) so my hotel charge came to 10.800Yen a night. Plus for a internet connection they wanted 1.575Yen.
My advise is to stay in Roynet Hotel(they have 2 branches, oodori and Ekimae. Oodori is 3 min walk form the Ramada Hotel, great location also. Ekimae is a new hotel opened this year and Oodori is newly renovated). Rooms are much nicer and bigger then Ramada for a much lower price including free internet access.
